I have one of these - I pulled it from a pack of either The Seeker, Aliens Requiem or Golden Compass - I was surprised it was there and thought nothing of it - but recently I was going through a stack of cards and there it was again - so I started seeing if anyone had ever auctioned it off but NOTHING - does anyone else out there have one!!! and does anyone know if they were destroyed etc...and the numbering is definitely SC-1

I have not seen an SC-1. I wonder if Inkworks decided to put them in other products to get rid of already printed cards when The Spiderwick Chronicles set was cancelled?

The Spiderwick Chronicles promo card SC-1 does exist. When promo cards are printed on the same form with another product, it is normal for a few stray cards to accidentally end up in packs. In this case, they were printed with AVP-R, so it makes sense that sherlock2 found one in a pack. At least some of these promo cards were shipped to the studio for promotional purposes, so they are in distribution. I don't think they were shipped in quantity to distributors, which may explain why you don't see many on eBay or retailer sites. If my notes are correct, this is what the card looks like:

It's a shame they couldn't have been given out like an internet promo. Firstly they wouldn't be wasted and secondly we could COLLECT them . I really enjoyed the film

Has anyone other than Sherlock come across this card ? This is literally the only Inkworks promo in existence (that I am aware of) that I don't have.

Sherlock, any interest in parting with it ?

I would like this card as well

so I guess I was very lucky on that pull - and for months that card was moved from promo pile to promo pile until I finally put it in a binder with my Inkworks promo collection - and it is still mint

I am lucky enough to have been able to get one of these promo cards as well.

I am glad that I did as that was the last promo that I needed to finish my set of promos, which includes the Simon & Schuster Book promos and an oversized lenticular card (forget where that is from)...

I have not seen an SC-1 on that auction site since we learned that it existed from Sherlock2.

Inkworks must have loads of these, they would not have had just a couple printed.

The dealer who picked up Inkworks inventory has about 30 of these available and currently has 4 up for auction on that popular auction site.

If he is correct about having only 30, this will still be a very rare promo especially since only a few were known to exist until now.

He does not have the full supply of promos as I first feared, at least based on what he tells me.
