Here's a look at the complete "9" promo set. Apparently the card of the "Seamstress" is a little harder to find. They really are quite beautiful and the footage they showed in Hall H was pretty impressive. The pin (shown at the top of the picture) was given away at a different time and place in the hall, so I'm glad I grabbed one. I didn't know what it was at the time, but a closer inspection reveals it to be a "9" movie promo for sure.

Not sure if these really count as cards or not but, Warner Brothers also has 4 ITunes "free download" cards. 1 each for Chuck, Smallville, Supernatural and Fringe.

Laura: if they're the same as what I've seen and collected, those are hotel room cards. Our hotel is giving out at least three if the four: Smallville, Fringe, and Chuck. I haven't seen the Supernatural one. The iTunes codes expire early in August (they don't give you a whole lot of time Red Face )

I saw images of them on WB's comic con site, I just figured they were cards that were everywhere. Hard to tell from the picture.

Actually, if you look on iTunes, the season premiere from each of these series can currently be downloaded for free. I don't know how long it will last that way (they usually are free only for a week), but those are the episodes that are linked to those iTunes codes, so anyone should be able to download them for free, even those people who didn't go to Comic Con.

Thanks to bumping into Harris I got the Planet of the Apes promo for the day on the last day! Now I'm going to have to track down the others cause that is a sweet promo!

Finished the Lost set of 5 and managed to get both packs of New Moon promo packs as well. Yay! Wife is happy for that!

Never got the last Ghost Whisperer promo because I refused to be strong armed into buying a box of cards that I already had just to get 1 promo card. But I know I'll track 1 down later because it's not as "hard to get" as he tried to make it sound lol.

I struck out on the Spartacus promos completely! Everytime I went they weren't out and when I went back 1 last time and asked I was told they were gone. Oh well.

Did anyone get any of the D23 Buttons from Preview Night, Thursday or Friday? They did I believe 7 buttons that are about 2 or 3 inches in Diameter all featuring different Disney characters. I want to find the ones I missed and have some extras to trade. When I get home I'll scan what I got and post em!

Harris,

I changed the list to show them as you listed them, but they were reported to me differently than you listed them. Can you double-check these please?

Thanks.

Mike.

Both Harris and cverdec have mentioned Fringe promos (besides the iTunes download cards?), but no details. Anything more specific?

Thanks.

Mike.

Any more information on any of these?

There is a website on the back of these promos for those who'd like to view the cards in 3D but I havne't looked into that yet, so I don't know if that's worth sharing or if its even allowed for that matter. It would be okay to post the URL.

Sorry for the confusion. I got it wrong. I'm looking at the cards now:

GW
Mark's Non Sport Cards
Juniors Cards and Comics
K & J Non-Sports Cards

Dexter
Endless World
Julio's Non Sport Depot
Triangle Cards

you probably have thus but just in case

- There is a Dexter card that was given away in the large bags that lists the dealers who carry Dexter cards at SDCC. It is numbered PROMO

- I also have two different unnumbered GW promos with the SDCC logo on them

- And finally, a unnumbered GW card advertising the limited edition collector's set available at SDCC

Also Mike, the Fringe cards handed out by The Observer are not the same as the others. The ones from The Observer are standard (bu a nit thin) trading cards. The other Fringe card is one of the hotel room key cards and is a credit card style card.

I've looked at my Fringe cards and I only have two different but The Observer indicated to us that there are three. I think the three cards show: Sea Horse, Leaf, and Frog.

And finally, I wasn't able to find any further info on the Star Wars card or the other oddity cards I posted about yesterday. Sorry.

Thanks Mike!
Here it is, directly from the back of one of the cards:

www.9themovie.com/AR

At the NECA booth, where the "9" cards were available today, they had a computer set up so you could hold the cards under some kind of an optical scanner and see the effect. It was indeed pretty neat!

I'm not sure I can figure out how to do it at home, though, having a pretty simple computer system with no webcam or anything like that, but the more tech savvy out there I'm sure will have no problem seeing the effect.

I have one of the "Mystery Team" packs, I believe #2 (of 3). I think they are the same as the "Dossiers" oddball cards you also mention. will dig it out, scan and post, because the cards were pretty unusual, seemingly a low budget affair, however I was struck by the fact that they did have the official Comic Con logo on them.

I don't where they were distributed, and I actually found mine in the trash when I was looking for something to eat, that Con food was pretty expensive. Ultimately, my lunch consisted of 200 packets of "Sweet and Low" from the trusty condiment stand.

All right, I'm kidding, but I did find the sealed packet on the floor near a trash can by the food area so whoever had them didn't want them. There are so few cards out there nowadays, I am all too glad to prove the old adage that one man's trash is indeed another man's treasure, especially when it comes to promos.

I have 2 of the Fringe cards (also found on the ground), but I can't remember the designs off the top of my head. Will post here if I have different ones than those noted above.

My bad, I was at dinner with Harris and gave him the list, and he asked if I was sure about it, to which I replied, "of course, Harris, trust me!". Big Grin

i picked up a Stark Indestries Card at the Marvel Booth that was pretty cool, kind of like a business card sized trading card in plastic.
not sure if its been mentioned.

Profiles in History did a Lost Oversize card to publicize thier prop auction as well, although im not sure you guys on here count that sort of item as a promo.

If you do BBC America gave out a Dr Who oversize card as well.

Personally i thought the show weak compared to previous years in terms of promotional items.

Darren:

There were three different characters/girls handing out the Marvel business cards. You've got two more to collect. You'll have to go back to San Diego now! Wink
