Episode 22 "The Curse of Kevin McNulty" is now online (iTunes and other podcast services will be updated shortly, once the RSS feed has circulated around the web!) - it features Don Norton talking about Autograph packs and a brief rundown of what visitors to the NSU stand at Memorabilia and Collectormania can expect!
This is a Harris-Free Zone - if you miss hearing his voice, why not listen to Special Episode 05 (as mentioned elsewhere by Harris) which is about "The White Album" book project, and features a LOT of Harris... Smile
Au Res.,
Paul

Listened to this and enjoyed hearing Don as usual. If Paul had pulled a McNulty from that pack i would have fallen off the chair in laughter.

Episode 23, "Jaffa Cakes!" is now online and should be filtering around the various podcast services as I type - it features Harris and I chatting about the recent UK shows and includes interviews with Artists Kate 'RED' Bradley and Sanna U, traders Rich With Cards and John the Hat (FINALLY got him on the show!) and with a UK distributor of Copic pens.

Also online, etc., is a little Christmas pressie - an amplified but otherwise unedited recording of the Card Talk Gathering at Memorabilia on Saturday 21st November. Apologies for the sound quality on this - I have tried to make everything audible but the Wrestling Ring announcements from next door made it hard to hear the quieter members of the panel!

I'm taking a break from the podcast for a while - I have a few so-called 'Real Life' responsibilities that need to take priority over podcast recording, but it's not, repeat NOT a permanent break and I hope to be back online with more CardCast sometime in 2010!
Thanks to all for participating in the CardCast story!
Au Res.,
Paul

For anyone who listens to the card talk one and thinks that it couldn't possibly have been that bad, your right, it was much worse. Big Grin

Great question from that chap about two thirds in though. Dance

As long as the technology doesn't let me down, I will be recording interviews for Episode 24 of the podcast tomorrow - The Break is Over (for now!) Big Grin
Fair warning - it will probably be a Harris Free Zone as the interview will (I hope) take up much of the episode; the regulars will return in due course...
Au Res.,
Paul

I've been gone for a while and am way behind on these. Is there any way to download these as MP3 files rather than using itunes (I have no clue as to how to use that site, I just use Amazon to download mp3s). I would love to listen to these at work but can't use the computer there to do so.

And sorry if this has been talked about already, I haven't read all 15 pages of the thread.

Thanks!

Hi Jessica:

Good to see you around here.

Yes, you can definitely do what you are asking about. Paul may come by and say there's a better way but here's what I can offer. If you go to the Cardcast webpage, you'll find all the various episodes listed on the right-hand side. The earliest episodes are linked at the very bottom and are listed as numbers only. You can right-click each link and then click "save link as...." (or "save target as...." in Internet Explorer). Then you can save the MP3 wherever you like on your computer and listen to them as you like. I suggested any of the episodes WITHOUT me. Big Grin

I don't have an mp3 player, I download these all the time. I usually burn them onto CD's and listen during my work commute. Smile

I'm still amazed ANYONE listens, let alone seeks info on how to download the, ahem, 'Back catalogue'!
Thank you for doing so though - it cheers my cynical heart! Harris is right about how you can download directly, Jessica - follow his advice and you should be fine, though identifying the rare HFE's (Harris Free Episode!) is tricky...
And thanks for enabling me to imply 'As heard on CD' Ted!
Au Res.,
Paul (editing of #24 resumes Friday)

Episode 24, "The Opposite of Blow", is now online and should be working it's way around the various podcast services as I write - it's already on iTunes here!
The main feature is an interview with Tom Lichtman (of Sidekick Media) and The Sucklord (of Suckadelic) about their recently released "Suckadelic Series 1" set. It should be noted that this episode features an 'Explicit' tag in iTunes purely because some of the language used is a little stronger than usual for UK CardCast - some of the milder swearwords...
No Harris or Kris in this one, but they will be back in the nextone hopefully!
Au Res.,
Paul

A very interesting Podcast Paul.
I realized I had met Tom at the spring 2009 Philly show. He was showing samples of his wax wrapper experiments to Kurt from Monsterwax.

Look forward to the next one!

Episode 25 is now working it's way online; the CardCast website has already been updated and it should start appearing in iTunes, podcast directories and on RSS feeds shortly (the feed is jsut spreading itself around as I type!)

Shorter than usual, this episode is really just HArris and I chatting about cards, card news and NSU news!
Au Res.,
Paul

Hi Paul. Enjoyed episode 25, except...
I know Basildon has only just got electricity and pathways for the horseless carriage, but the rest of the world have reached 2010 Big Grin

Electricity? Whassat?
I have now fixed the year on Episode 25, though it will take a while for the various locations to update the feed. That's what you get if you cut and paste and don't double check everything before posting...
Au Res.,
Paul
