Good news indeed Boldly!
Do you still want me to cd's recent stuff for you? If so, it might take a little while longer due to the wedding this weekend and the hangover that will linger afterwards... Big Grin

Nah, thanks for the offer but I'll catch up on-line.

Have a good time at the wedding, have you prepared your speech yet?

Just in case any UK CardCast listeners were wondering, there WAS going to be a new episode of the podcast this week; unfortunately, one of my PC's crashed and is not repairable, so I have been more than a little distracted from editing the golden thoughts of the Harrismeister.
Normal service will be resumed as soon as I can get my hands on a suitable replacement motherboard (i.e. one that, once everything is connected up and installed, DOESN'T crash every time I think I've finally nailed the problem and reinstalled whatever update or patch was allegedly required. Computers - who needs 'em? Mad

The next episode, Episode 10, will eventually have the usual chat with Harris and an interview with regular NSU contributor Don Norton, who talks about recent shows in the Chicago area, and also about non-sports cards in Sports sets!

Assuming I have a working PC, Episode 11 will be a San Diego ComicCon themes show, and Harris has agreed to report on proceedings as usual, but I would like to hear from anyone else who might be attending and who would be interested in appearing on the show! If you would like to participate, please email me at the podcast address of ukcardcast@googlemail.com rather than posting here!
Au Res.,
Paul

To be honest Big Grin I don't think I have much choice - I'm pretty sure it was YOUR recordings that broke the PC in the first place; there's only SO much a computer can take, and it's had 9 episodes worth so far - obviously the tenth was a recording too far... Big Grin

At last, Episode 10 is now 'on the air' and available from the usual places!
It has the usual light-hearted banter with Harris, talking about recent events and looking forward to this weekend's San Diego ComicCon, and a conversation with DOn Norton, talking about recent and forthcoming shows in Illinois, and looking at Non-Sports cards in Sports sets.

Au Res.,
Paul

I just listened to Ep 10, and thanks for a great job of editing out all my "uhs" and "ums" Paul.
Just since we recorded this a couple of weks ago, 2 new sports sets with non-sports cards have appeared. Topps Footbal with the military patch cards, and Upper Deck's Piece of History, with 50 non sport base cards and one Hollywood worn costume card per box.

just finished listening to episode 10 - congratulations on hitting double figures Paul!

Started to listen with the laptop in the kitchen while cooking Sunday lunch, and have just finished it while doing the washing up.

Particularly enjoyed the interview with Don on non-sport cards in sport sets. I picked up the American Pie set when it was released and really like it particularly as I have more than a passing interest in baseball and thought it was a good 'essence of the sixties' set.

Keep up the good work, it's much appreciated - looking forward to episode 11 already.

Thanks John and Batman. Someone should make a Comic-Con simulator so people can experience what its like to be there.
