i read the email and from reading it you say it will take 3 week to recieve that means we wont get the mag till september as the shows in july correct i think and the email says they only post on the 9th of each month so that means this wont be posted till the 9th of august so that means by my calculations add the 3 weeks your looking at the very end of august beginning of september 3 months to wait for a magazine how rediculas sorry about the down but there

.

Lets cut Harris some slack here, shall we. Harris does a wonderful job on our behalf.
This is a pre-order and will be dispatched as soon as possible.

The "thank you for your order" e-mail actually says:
"We will be processing orders for this limited-edition copy shortly after Comic Con International has ended on July 23rd on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for order processing and shipping".

So I am expecting my copies around the 14th August and probably earlier.

Colin i think that post was a bit uncalled for.

You might want to think about editing some of that.

I,m sure Paul was only trying to help.

That is for subscriptions. Orders for other items are mailed directly from NSU, whereas subsciptions are sent by a 3rd Party.

For the Lost special issue details - Boldy has the facts in his post above.

How has this turned so ugly? It's not called for.

Charmedmad~ Bottom line is this. We are taking pre-orders now for the issue. They will not ship until after the show. We'll ship all the pre-orders once we return home from the show. If we are organized, we'll have many of the orders just about ready to ship before we leave and ship them in a day or two after we return from the show. But if not, they'll be ready to go short. We say "allow for 2 to 3 weeks" just to cover our bases but it has never taken us that long in years past and has even been "2 to 3 days" sometimes.

Now, what's this business about only shipping on the 9th of the month? Maybe you are confusing the part about when NSU gets shipped? Non-Sport Update is published bi-montly and usually ships around the 9th of the month of publication. This has nothing to do with the variant issues, though. For orders like these, and back issues, price guides, Wacky Packages items, special items, etc., we ship practically every day of the month.

Now please be nice to your fellow members, ok? I've edited out the swear words from your post. I don't really think they are necessary and I've got a complaint.

{edit - I see that your post was deleted so forget the part above about the swear word}

By the way, I didn't say anything above about when you will receive the magazine -- be it August or September. Obviously, once they leave from our local Post Office, it'll take how ever long the Post Office takes with it. They do go via Air Mail so it shouldn't be too bad. Those in the U.S. will likely have them end of July, or very early August. Those of you in the U.K. will probably be just a bit longer. But not September! (unless you wait that long to order Eek)

I just pre-ordered mine.

Thanks to the folks at Inkworks and NSU for another lovely San Diego variant issue!

I thought I would order my copy of the varient cover with the LOST promo, but it worked out at $13.99. As a subscriber that a very expensive promo card don't you think. I will be taking my chances on the bay. Frown

Or you can find someone who could get order an extra copy and just trade for the promo from them...

Yes I could. Unfortunately I haven't built up a good enough relationship with anyone on this board yet. Its hard asking people favors that you do not know very well. Its ok if you're the Wolfie cos everyone knows you. Perhaps things will change after I go to Memerobelia this year.

I'll be going to the bay.
