Hi All:

We currently working on this year's popular variant issue for Comic Con International. The cover for the issue will coincide with Inkworks' Lost: Revelations series. As the young kids say, the cover is pretty sweet! Big Grin

Similar to the previous Comic Con variant issues, Inkworks will be handling the majority of the distribution of this issue. Copies will be on sale at the Inkworks exhibit at Comic Con International as well as through some of their retailers. We'll be holding a few copies back for those of you who are not able to make the show. We'd hope you are able to make the show and purchase your copy(s) from Inkworks or a retailer at the show but realize that this is not possible for some. So that end, we'll be pre-selling our small quantity very soon through the NSU Store. Copies will not ship until shortly after Comic Con has ended (Comic Con is July 19 - 23).

The two versions of the Aug/Sep issue will be identical inside. The differences, however, are the covers and promotional cards. The variant issue will have the special Lost cover and one exclusive Lost card available nowhere else (the card is numbered LR-NSV). The regular issue has Bench Warmer on the cover and five different promotional cards. Only 1623 copies of the variant issue and promo card will be available wordwide (go figure where that number comes from Wink ).

I wanted to give everyone a sneak peak of the great Lost card that Inkworks has supplied. I plan to post an image of the cover soon.

Enjoy!

Cool Card Harris, Many thanks to Inkworks for producing it.

Has ANY card in the past had as many (or more) charcters featured on the one card?
Normally, this kind of cast shot would be spread over three cards

Great news and i shall be buying one. Eek

I usually get 2 but once again far too many copies are being made. I think i am right in saying that the only variant issue that has sold out is Buffy.

The season 5 one limited to 777 copies is the way to go on variants.

This is the only issue that has a resale value on the secondary market.

I'll just wait over here for someone to hit me. Big Grin

Wolfie, here is the topic Harris started about it:Serenity Variant Issue topic
There were 2005 copies and they had all sold out by the time Harris came over with his NSU stand at the November Memorbilia show... I didn't get one myself...

Something about there being far too many of them and it would never sell out. Big Grin

Wolfie,

For the record, every San Diego variant we have done has sold out. Yes, that's ALL FOUR Buffy variants and last year's Serenity issue. Granted, some sold out more quickly than others, but all sold out.

We did 2005 Serenity issues. With Lost being the star that it is, I can't imagine 1623 copies not moving pretty quickly.

But who's worried about semantics? Wink
