The upcoming Apr/May issue of Non-Sport Update will have a variant LEXX cover. The standard issue will have a Scorpion King cover.

The LEXX variant cover is available for purchase through the NSU Store as well through our order line - 800-228-9678 (717-238-1936 outside the U.S.A.). It will also be available for sale at the April Philly Show.

We've just posted a picture of the 3 promo cards that will be included with the variant cover. These promos are exclusive to this issue and will not be included in any of our other issues. As of this writing, the "standard" NSU issue is set to contain 6 promos so if you purchase both issues, you'll get a total of 9 different promos.

Is the WITCHBLADE ISCIPLES OF THE BLADE card a last minute replacement for the DAWN card, which NSU stated would be one of the 3 exclusive cards in the variant LEXX issue?
If this is true, you may wish to update the NSU Store descriptor entry for the LEXX variant issue, since it still lists DAWN (instead of Witchblade). Otherwise others such as myself who would have ordered the variant issue for the DAWN card and didn't see your scanned images (showing the substitution) may be disappointed or feel misled. Thanks.

Sorry I didn't respond to this before. You are correct. The cards in the upcoming issue are Battle of the Planets, LEXX, and Witchblade: Disciples of the Blade (Not Dawn).

The six cards in the "regular" issue of the upcoming Apr/May issue are LEXX, Witchblade (both are different then those mentioned above), The Scorpion King, Spider-Man, The Complete Babylon 5 and Butt-Ugly Martians.

Having had to deal with variant covers in the comics industry, I have to say that I hate
them.

If you want to do variant cards, can't you put them as chase cards in the regular issues.

--- It's alright. I know you're extremely busy between NSU, The NSU & Philly websites and other business. I just wanted to alert you in case someone read the desciption for the variant but either did not click on the images or your comments about the change in card subject.
--- Will the Dawn card that was originally supposed to have been in the variant issue be released later and will it still be an NSU exclusive? If no to either question, is there any info as to when or where it will appear? Thanks again.

There was never an exclusive Dawn card produced for us. I guess since the schedule shifted after our original talks with Dynamic Forces, they decided a Witchblade card would be more appropriate for the time period that the variant cover is being released (next week). Unfortunately, we hadn't realized this and continued to state "Dawn" in our ads and such.
