Hi Everyone:

Since everyone will be voting for The Gummies soon (I hope you'll vote, anyway), I wanted to post a note and ask everyone for their assistance. It probably would be best if people do not post who or what they voted for (or plan to vote for). Last year, there were some posts here that made me a little uncomfortable with people posting things such as "when company XYZ did such and such, they bought my vote." Obviously, I know what was meant but it's probably not a good idea to say a vote was bought, even if you don't actually mean that. Also, if people all start posting they are voting for this company or that, or specific products, that's probably not the best things either.

So, I hope everyone will take a few minutes when you fill out your ballot ballots to think about which products and company are truly deserving in your own opinion.

Thanks a lot for listening to my plea. You may now resume with your regularly scheduled Card Talk viewing.

Harris

After the Gummies are over can we say why we voted the way we did?

Hi Lessa:

Yes, sure. Just wait until after the voting period expires in mid-December. Thanks.

Not sure what the purpose of explaining why and for whom you voted! Surely we don't need to know why you voted for x or y. You will vote for who/what you think is the best, end of subject. We don't need pages and pages of why anybody voted - unless it's to make sure that card companies know who's voting for them!!!

I'm not saying I will reveal who I voted for & why, but if Harris is asking folks not to that means it was obviously a problem last year...

I personally like saying what I like & don't like about sets.....

I don,t see a problem with discussing who and what you voted for after the ballot has ended. It would be of intrest to hear why people did what they did.

I would think that different people might have different reasons for voting for the same product or manufacturer. For instance, one person might vote for Manufacturer X because they think their products are of exceptional quality. Another might vote for the same manufacturer because of its terrific customer service. I agree that we should keep our mouths shut (more difficult for some than others I know Wink) until voting is finished, but after that, I'd like to hear how and why people voted the way they did. What's this, Wolfie? Turning reasonable and sensible in your old age?
Tsk! Big Grin

Personally, I don't see the problem in discussing how peopoe voted after the poll closes - though to be perfectly honest, although I spend a lot of time considering what to vote for, once that ballot slip is in the post, I've forgotten exactly what I wrote!

My ballot has already been mailed so I cannot be swayed. I will happily discuss my votes after the cut off date!

Has anyone at NSU thought about including the Gummie voting ballot in the Oct/Nov issue instead of the Dec/Jan issue?

This would give ample time for the voting ballots to be sent in from around the globe and even get some ballots from the store bought issues that arrive weeks later. I know that puts the cut off dates for sets, back in the year, however, no card set would be left out as late in the year set could be included in next years just as it is currently.

I only thought of this as I am waiting for my varient & reg issue of NSU to arrive. I'm sure I will get my ballot in on time, However I was humbled to think of those who live abroad or are destracted by this hectic time of year.

I thought I would say something.(As long as I'm asking ) Maybe there should be more gummie cards a 9 card gummie set issued Big Grin
