We used a different printer this time for the issue. It's on very thick paper stock. I am calling it our super premium issue. NSU Flair, if you will. Or NSU Stadium Club edition. It will not always be on this heavyweight paper however. In fact, next issue will go back to a bit thinner paper stock (but not as thin as before -- somewhere in between). Good question. In a word, POSTAGE! thick = heavy! And heavy = windfall for USPS. They're so thick, we can't fit 20 copies in our magazine boxes (which normally hold about 22 or so issues). |
