Let's see if we can completely overload Harris and give him a nervous breakdown Wink

Any idea when the web site bought variants will be starting to get posted out? After missing out on San Diego, I need my little piece of memorabilia (well I already have the Buffy and Angel promos, but I'm looking forward to the variant more).

I'm going to take a wild guess & assume the earliest they'd go out is Thursday.

Sounds like that's one of the many things they're working on today & tomorrow.

That's the NOT FUN part of a vacation - getting caught up afterwards...

I know they were processing the orders yesterday so they maybe sending the first batch of them out today!

Almost all of them went out yesterday! Smile We worked ahead before Comic Con so that we would have things ready to go when we returned and we sent almost every order that came in before Comic Con yesterday.

Now, of course, we have to move on to the ton of orders that came in during Comic Con week. Roll Eyes

I await my two issues with anticipation. Hopefully the idiot postmen won't manage to bend the variant card (or crease the cover when it comes to it).

How are they packaged, Harris? Just in the clear bags with an address label, or in an opaque envelope?

I am pretty sure all of the copies for orders with one copy inside went in our NSU envelopes that say "Fragile -- Do Not Bend" on both sides and that all orders for two copies went in the card stock envelopes provided by the USPS. When you ordered two copies, you basically paid for the service printed on those envelopes (Priority Mail in the U.S. or Global Priority Mail outside of the U.S.)

That's great Harris -- I now feel secure that my postman won't be bending my copies Smile

I bought 4 Variant covers from Inkworks booth. Never seen a NSU mag before, so kept 3 to trade to the pre-empts and one for myself. I ended up putting my Variant promo on the CardTalk TradeBlock, and my copy is already pretty dog-eared. Mag is cool...

I was going to get a subscription, but luckily won a 1 year free certificate at the meeting. Great prize, though I rather of had that Avengers binder set... Razz

HARRIS TOSER Side Note: Harris, when should I send the cert. out to guarantee a subscription starting next issue, and yet still not get it late?

Prezkot:

You can send that in now. Just include a note and say that you want to begin with the Oct/Nov '03 issue and we'll see to it that you don't get a duplicate Aug/Sep '03 issue.

By the way, sorry again about singling you out that way at the Card Talk gathering. Roll Eyes

Yes, in certain terms I was... your husband can attest to that DC...

Harris: Thanks will do within the week with all the trades going out...

Also, if my 'singling out' is brought up for the next 2 weeks, it'll be because I am poking fun at it, not feeling ill towards it... Razz

Thanks again for the great arrangements at the meetings Harris! (Next time, don't make the raffle so confusing for some people, Razz)

- Received my two copies today with the PCE. USPS Letter carrier still bent the envelope, but the PCE (inside) was thick enough so it didn't fold. Boith copies of the SDDCC variant NSU and the PCE were unscathed. (Can't say the same for the USPS cardboard envelope though. Took quite a beating. But it protected its contents.)

Maybe it's just my general inattentiveness, but I don't recall you introducing yourself at the panel...

I also received my copy and PCE today. From Pa. to Bama in 2 days flat. This has to be a record. I agree with MiniMe that the PCE is great for protecting the NSU from the tender mercies of the USPS.

Got mine today too. and they were bent in half. Evfen inside the priority mail envelope. I said something to the postlady and she gave me an attitude about it, there is NO WAY she should have bent priority mail envelopes. the mags themselves are ok, but one of the 2 promos is bent. I will try and flatten it because it isnt creased though.

Got my variant copy & standard copy on Friday 25, that is 4 days after posting from USA to UK - pretty fast !!!!! The Global Priority envelope was very bashed, with the corners bent over but both mags, & promos were in great shape. I have always thought that the cardboard in those envelopes should be thicker though. Considering how busy Harris & Co have been over the past 2 weeks I am amazed & very impressed by the speed of shipping Cool. Mind you that just goes to show how great the guys from NSU are, they have always provided me with great customer service
(& super mags of course Wink.
Now I just hope that one day soon we will get an Angel variant cover & exclusive - pleease NSU. Smile
