Thanks X for your comments. I guess you are the only one who gets it. They want to lock me up for not revealing my sources. On top of that they want to say I have no credibility because they disagree with my "opinion". I know what I'm talking about.
Some people "know" the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Ace, noone wants to "lock you up" but if you accuse a company of false advertising on a board hosted by a magazine in WHICH ALL THE CARD COMPANIES ADVERTISE - be prepared to back it up. You essentially came out and said "all the companies are lying to you and stealing your money" because that is EXACTLY how I took your post. Offer evidence or dont make blantant accusations. If approached me and you accused me of being a liar on an issue and then said "well, i dont have to prove it, just take my word for it" - I would probably knock your lights out.

Oh and thats me on a personal level, not a moderator level.

I was only asking a "little" question Big Grin I have e-mailed Bill with some P3 prices. It is true that some do go for less than others. Maybe less binders are made for some sets!

I have also bought several Rittenhouse binder promos on e-bay in the $5 to $8 range. The only ones that seem to go significantly higher are the early binder promos from around 2001-2001 for Xena, Farscape, and Twilight Zone.

I agree with the math - but how many are broken up? Surely the fact that relatively few are sold separately SHOULD make them more valuable

The moderator seems to have the interests of the Card Companies and not the collector as his main interest. First he puts words in my mouth then insults and threatins me. Real brave for a guy clear across the country. My guess is you are trying to provoke me. I don't appreciate it.
The fact is I really don't care how you interpret what I said. It's not that important to me. So sue me if you like.
You need to cut back on watching FOX NEWS and Bill O'Riley.

I managed to get a Xena&Hercules Animated P3 on BIN for $7.99, but no sign of a P3 to complete my Art&Images set!

I don't really want to get any more involved, but I think you analogy there is a bit lame of you as a moderator.
I don't run the 'Ace of Hearts fan club' and in fact I don't think we've really conversed previously, so I make my comments now strictly as a bystanding observer of this thread.

But to threaten to beat someone up on ANY level is out of order, Shake Head if you'd said that to me I'd have reported it and have been majorly pissed off.
I sincerely doubt company 'X' is going to "knock Ace's lights out" for claiming/stating/assuming/accusing something about their promos.
Maybe you think what he said was wrong, I don't, but lets agree to disagree.
You are a mod and of course have certain responsibilities but chill out man there's no need to get offensive and confrontational when trying to tow the line.

Not to keep the negativity going.....but if you guys read mtlhddoc2's last line in his post, his mod hat is off.
And in my view neither post is to be viewed as what would definately happen.

I didn't realise asking this question would cause trouble. But all we have are opinions and it is true that some P3's are easier to get than others and that getting them in the UK is harder than it appears to be in the USA. Thank you all for your comments/opinions and there is no definative answer Smile

I always find the subject of value of binder inserts a little open to alot of interpretation.

If say you've got a binder that costs £40, the auto or costume insert normally lists separately for £25-£30, so lets say a binder promo costs £5 does that mean the binder itself is only worth £5-£10?

Its easier to say if the cost of a binder and thus the promo in the UK is double you can just double the value. But I'd like to see someone in the U.S. either trade one or buy one of ebay for $10-$16. No chance unless they were absolutely desperate for it.

Someone offers me those early Farscape binders for free and I'll pay that much for the promos. Big Grin
