Samwise16,
First of all, welcome to Card Talk!
I'm sure Harris will follow this up, but for info, if you have a problem with missing promos, you would be best emailing NSU directly - click here!
If the above link does not work, you can get the email address by clicking on the 'Contact Details' option on the NSU front page.

Did you get both magazines from the same supplier? If so, it might be worth contacting them (it this is possible) to ask what happened to the promos - which are usually sealed in a white envelope within the magazine.
Au REs.,

I'm really sorry you feel this way. I've always looked at the promos as a bonus -- the magazine itself has always been worth the subscription price.

I remember when I used to write articles, that I would have been really disappointed to find out that a reader thought they were "nothing".

Good comment Bill.

Yes, like Quaint1 says, if you did not recieve promos, send me an e-mail (h_toser@nonsportupdate.com). Also let me know where you purchased your copies.

Thanks.

Harris

Bill, it is a good comment - but if something is advertised as having "free promo's" you do expect them!

Unfortunately, it is a fact that some people will only buy the magazine for the promo cards though, depending on what's in a particular issue. Some might take the time to read an article or two and think "Hey, this is good stuff" and read the rest of the magazine, others might just take the autos and dump the magazine in the bin or on a pile, or whatever.

I have also seen at card fairs NSU being sold at a cut-down cost out of the plastic bag obviously stripped of autos (which are then usually found in the dealer's card folders being sold separately), but at least then you aren't expecting promos to be still inserted. I do find this behaviour wrong though, especially when they're trying to sell the individual promo for £5 when the magazine only costs £3.50 to begin with including promos!

Gotta say that Bill has hit the nail on the head - I buy the mag for the info, anything else included is a happy bonus, meaning you did not get nothing for your money, just not what you expected.

Glad to see Harris can help you out though Smile

Hi Samwise:

I haven't received an e-mail from you, though it's possible it could have gotten mixed in with spam (which we get a ton of). I am sending you one right now so take a look for it.

Thanks.

Harris

Suggest the best course of action mate is to subscribe to NSU, that way you get it through the post. I know it sounds like a plug but I found it the best way to ensure a copy in the UK.

Anyway welcome to the Card Talk forum's Cool

Hi Andrew David Wink

Your 100% Right Thumb Up

That is also why I get my copy of NSU in the mail. Wink
I even live in The States here in The U.S.A.
ALSO: Wink
I do not have to travel or go to different magazine racks looking for a Copy of The NSU Magazine any more since I subscribed to NSU magazine. Wink
I also even renewed early at a non-sport-card convention when I seen Harris at the NSU booth.

When I use to get the NSU magazine on store racks I got bent promos rarely once in a while but not often and a lot of thimes the shop was sold out.
NSU Factory seals the magazine excellent for shipping and for stores to sell Thumb Up
Since I been getting the NSU mag in the mail I never had a problem at all and never missed a issue Wink
