Harris,
As I said above, when you do a "Find" and then go into "Refine Search", the field "Author ID:" has a number in it. I don't know how to make it any clearer. Hope this helps.

Nope. Sorry. I still do not see a field called Author ID. Does anyone else see it?

I don't see "Refine Search" or "Author ID" under "Find" Frown

I see "Advanced Search" and "Author Name" under "Find" - is that what you mean? I don't see a number at all.

I looked using Internet Explorer & Netscape. What browser do you use?

I see it now. Someone just e-mailed me and told how to run a scenario that brings this up. I don't think this has anything to do with it though. I believe this number is the number that the Card Talk database is using to represent you. And that these have been around all along. I do not believe there is anything we can do until Infopop fixes the software code.

By the way, Tialessa and Spidergoblin, I believe that Ace is referring to the "Refine Search" option that you get when you click on the "New Since Your Last Visit" (find menu). That option/link is in the upper right-hand corner of the results window.

Also, to get the Author ID option, I had to click on a members name, click the "View recent posts by...." option, then click "Refine Search". Once you do that, you'll see a Author ID box.

Ok, I will try to make it clearer. When you click on the search (Find) button and for example, enter your Card Talk name, it brings up your most recent posts and subjects started by you where your "name" is mentioned. Right now only subjects are coming up and no recent posts.
Anyway when the list of subjects comes up, if you look in the upper right hand corner there are 2 options (links) one of which is "Refine Search" the other "New Search". When you click on it you get a page with some additional options to narrow your search, including "Date" which I use. On this same page there is a field for "Author Name". When you go into this same page using "View Recent Posts by (Ace of Hearts)" you get an additional field that says "Author ID:". Hope this helps explain, though I doubt it will help solve the problem.

Ace:

Is this working for you better now? It looks like they worked on it last night as planned since I see a new checkbox added to the find drop down (at least, on some screens).

Harris,
I clicked on show Ace's recent posts and it worked. It's been a while but it apears to be working now. Thanks a lot for your help. Hope you have fun at Philly and get some stuff for us on the west coast that can't make it.
Thanks again, Ace
