Hi! I noticed on the Strictly Ink website that NSU will be having an exclusive Promo card for the forthcoming Doctor Who set - is this true? Will it be in the next issue?

Paul:

It's still up in the air at the point exactly what card Strictly Ink will give us for the next issue. Actually, we had planned on putting in a Dr. Who card into the current Dec/Jan issue but you know what they say about best laid plans.

We hope that we'll have an exclusive Dr. Who card for the next issue (Feb/Mar issue, shipping approx. 1/9/01) but things are really tight for Strictly Ink's printing and the card may wind up being a regular promo. Keep your fingers crossed.

By the way, we also expect to have a Stargate SG-1 card in the issue from Rittenhouse Archives as well as an exclusive Crimson card from Dynamic Forces.

Thanks, Harris!

I'll keep an eye out for the Doctor Who card. Strictly Ink seem to be issuing no end of special promos - Doctor Who Magazine has two different ones on the cover of their next two issues, and there is an exclusive Free one available on their website (exclusive, that is, to the net)
I've noticed that card companies seem to be making more of their promo cards than they used to, (or am I imaging things?) Buffy seems to have had at least 5 different cards, most of the Rittenhouse 'regular' card sets have two, and the Topps X-Men Movie set had 5!
Oh, whilst on Promo's, there is a set of Cards Inc UK exclusives for The Simpsons 10th Anniversary. I assume that these are the same as the regular promo's, but with the Cards Inc address details printed on the back.. What with the regular pomo's, and the NSU exclusive, and the UK versions, that makes 9 - is this a record?!?!
Best wishes,
paul
