I know exactly what you mean.I go weeks with only trading a few singles/commons.Then in one week there are those trades that are in the 100's of $'s worth in trade value.
1)when in just trade offers I just refer to the emails.or if it's a small trade that I have multiples of. 2)when trade is finalized I print out the trade. 3)on my trading site I put a (p) referring to pending in trade and a (t) when trade is complete. Those are my main points of organization. Mailing hints. 1)Inside the parcel, you might want to put your mailing address or the traders address as well, just in case of lost mail. 2)Agree on how/when trade will be sent. 3)If just mailing 1st class.at least keep the USPS reciept,as it will print the zip-code to where parcel was mailed to. I agree with Spidergoblin about keeping a printout of trade - be sure the other person's mailing address and e-mail are on there. It's not likely, but you may lose some info in a crash.
Keep a brief record of your trades, not to check up on the other traders, but to remember who sent you what, get a feel for what they collect and how you can help each other in the future. I try to always let them know when I sent their cards and when I got theirs. All the traders I've met through Card Talk are great, very fair and prompt. This is a good group to trade with. |

I don't do that many trades (most of the trades I HAVE done have mostly been with members of my Card Talk family!), but I do sometimes get confused!
I find the easiest way to handle things is to print out the emails detailing the trades, then lay them out on a flat surface (table, bed, floor) and put the cards I'm trading on the relevant emails. Then I can 'bag them up' with ease. When it comes to packaging, you can NEVER overdo it - especially if sending long distances. I always try to have at least two layers of packaging - if possible cards are put into rigid sleeves, or are sandwiched between two rigids (if there are more than one card) Where possible, send an email to the person you're trading with on the day you post their cards off - that way you have a useful confirmation of the date you sent out, just in case there is a problem later on.
