I'm not trying to be a wise guy. This is an honest and respectful question for Harris.
Is your last name pronounced Tosser - as in someone who throws a ball back and forth OR
Toeser - as in "Your standing on my toes sir."
You can call me Ray... or you can call me Jay...
or you can call me Ray Jay... (That's from a while ago, isn't it). smile

Hey MikeFitz:

Can't beleive this warrants it's own thread! It's not really that important. But since you asked, Toser is pronounced Toeser, as in "My car broke down. Can I get a Tow, Sir?"

Harris

Hi Mike:

Sure, call me whatever you like. You should hear what Todd calls me!

BTW, no, people don't know these things instintively. We get all kinds of pronunciations and spellings, like I am sure anyone does with an not so-common name. And people often think Harris is my last name.

I know what you are doing though. You are just trying to show interest and butter me up thinking it'll help you win the next contest (Tuesday; 1:30 E.S.T), like the last contest. It's not going to work! big grin You'll have to play along just like the rest of the common folk.

Harris

Actually Harris - I wanted the correct pronounciation so that I could plug the magazine
when I am interviewed after breaking David Blain's(sp?) record for being buried six feet under a pile of non-sport cards for 20 years. wink
Contest?
Oh THAT contest! Ready... Steady... GO!

Just seen this thread!!! Nobody would dare ask that question over here?!? No offenc(s)e Harris, but one of those pronunciations has erm... connotations on this side of the pond.

Happy posting/collecting all
