Harris,

I noticed that you are showing the Dr Who SI-1 as being inserted in the latest NSU as well as or randomly 2 other promo cards.

My question, Strictly Ink says on their web site says:

"American Promotions have just been launched with Card Insert NS1 in NON SPORT UPDATE
magazine, the leading non sports trading
cards magazine and also with the world leading distributor Diamond Distribution UK/USA!"

Is there a card numbered NS1 included as one of the Dr Who promo cards?

Could you tell us the numbers of all 3 possible Dr Who cards?

Thanks.

Mike.

Mike:

The three Dr. Who cards that can be found in our current issue are numbered SI-1, CI-1, and CI-2. We had hoped to have an exclusive Dr. Who card in our last two issues but Strictly Ink was running a little bit behind each time. They did not have enough of any one card to give us so they had to give us three cards instead. Obviously, we really prefer for them all to be the same (so that collectors don't feel that we are trying to make them buy more copies) but sometimes we get into a bind like this.

Hope that helps!

Harris

Whilst on the subject of the Strictly Ink Doctor Who cards, interested collectors who have not previously visited the Strictly Ink website might like to go there as soon as possible - if you register with them online they will send a web exclusive promo card!
Also, in line with the current trend of multiple 'exclusives', there were also exclusive promo cards on the cover of the two most recent issues of "Doctor Who" magazine here in the UK. Best wishes,
Paul Bines.

Reminds me of the era of about 1995 ... exclusive promo cards everywhere..one of the main reasons I started my web site..to keep track of 'em all. I think chasing after all this stuff is a kick..as long as we know where to look....;)

Harris,

Thank you for the information. Its a shame they couldn't come up with that NS1. The 3 you mentioned were also sent to the people who ordered the preview set (which I did).

Quaint1, I signed up at the web site quite some time ago and never received a web exclusive promo. Did you actually receive one? If so, does it have a card number?
I sent them an email pointing this out several weeks ago and I was told to expect something from them, but so far no luck.

Thanks.

Mike.
