Hi All:
We'll be at Comic-Con this year. Still not sure about other plans yet but it would be great if we could do the informal, pay-your-own-way, breakfast. Sounds like we have interest in it. So let's shoot for Friday morning, like we usually do. Maybe we'll take NL up on one of her suggestions. I realize now that I've actually been to two of the restaurants she's mentioned.

Woo Hoo!! Good news to hear Harris! Gotta get treats now. Actually, you really don't have to, NL. Please don't feel obligated. I was kidding. Just happy we are able to go again. ____________________ Promo Card Encyclopedia & Price Guide -- Brand new for 2008. Visit the PCE page. |

I don't know about the hotel places, but Cafe 222 is very small and there's almost always a line to get in. Richard Walker's Pancake House also had a pretty big line when I saw it last year. Sun Cafe is usually not so crowded (I've been eating there for 20 years now, it's gotten to where the owner recognizes me when I show up!) and may work for a small group but not something much larger than 8 people. -Bob- ____________________ Reasonable doubt for reasonable people! |

Seems where to eat depends upon the number of people would try to make the breakfast. Unless you're willing to drive, or take a long walk, best bet are the hotels to accomodate a large group as the other eateries are in the East Village or a bit north of the Gaslamp. I'm at the Hyatt every year and the dining room at Laels is large to accomodate a group of 20 or so people. |

The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Peter Jackson and James Cameron's Avatar may be among the highlights of this summer's Comic-Con International in San Diego, the New York Times reported today.
Jackson has never attended in person, despite having had many of his movies hyped at the show. But the director will appear in Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center in support of District 9, an alien-internment thriller set for release by Sony on Aug. 14. Jackson produced the film, which was directed by his friend Neill Blomkamp, who will also attend. Comic-Con is still finalizing its schedule, and it is entirely possible that Jackson could be upstaged by another science fiction heavyweight: James Cameron, who may bring his 3-D sci-fi epic Avatar. A Fox executive told the newspaper that the filmmaker was still deciding. New Moon is Summit Entertainment's sequel to the hit Twilight. Meanwhile, Warner Brothers will make presentations on about 10 films, although it has not fully determined the lineup. Source: SciFi Wire |

Twilight was crazy last year, and I suspect that it will be even more popular this year. The crush of people near the booth was unbelieveable. People slept outside just wanting to wait in line for the panel the next day.

I checked with the officials at SDCC and I will be able to pick up my friends pass so long as I have his confirmationand a copy of his license.

Well bummer that there's no Cardtalk breakfast this year, but awesome that the Tosers (and everyone else) are going!
I'd be more than happy to go to a lil gathering 1 night or morning anyway if 1 is put together! ____________________ More cards. Must....Have....More! Please? |

I think a gathering or two is a distinct possibility.

No Twilight? I can't imagine that, I suspect they will have some type of presentation, with the new movie due in November.

Ah, I checked out Kennywood's link, it's only a teaser for television shows, no movies or such other type programming.
