Hey Batman...I'm wondering what you ended up thinking about the Holiday Inn. I thought the bus was much busier in the morning than in 2007 but overall it was fine.

Loved 2008 so much that I just got registered and booked my hotel for 2009. Too bad it's still September.

Booked my 4 day pass for the July Show. Just wondered if any card talk members from the U.K. who regularly attend know if it's better to book a package deal with a travel agent or arrange Flight and Hotel separately?

If it's better separately any suggestions? Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Does anyone else find it odd that CCI has not announced when rooms willbe going on sale? Last year they went on sale the first week of Feb. As of today they have noting on their web site about it.

I booked with Expedia in 2007. The prices are not too bad, they are now offering Nectar points and it saves the aggro of shopping around.

I've already booked a room at the Sofia at the same rate as through Comic Con, but I will try to get into the Westin Horton Plaza or Embassy Suites if possible. If not, the Sofia will be fine with me. It's always good to have a back-up plan.

The only think I didn't like about the Sofia was their ridiculous "European" showers. The opening to the shower is only half enclosed by a pane of glass. The other half is completely open with no shower curtain. Half the towels each day were used to soak up the water that sprayed out onto the floor.

Beside that little design flaw, the hotel itself was very nice. The shuttle stop was right there too, so there wasn't far to walk at all.

My wife and I are booked at the Springhill Suites. It's about 10 - 12 miles north of the convention center but right off the freeway and is easy to get to and from the center. The room we booked has a king size bed, sofa bed, refrigerator, desk, nice bathroon and a jacuuzi and a nice breakfast buffet every moring. We got it for $159.00 a night.

Apparently, the world gets him in shorts pretty much year-round. He disguised himself by wearing pants in NYC though. He left the cape home too. Roll Eyes
