A very cool Family Guy commission I picked up from Mark Dos Santos. It's an 8.5 by 11 piece.

Another hot Family Guy commission by Chris Moreno, who sketched this while I chatted with him late Sunday afternoon. I missed the Jericho signing, but well worth it! This is also an 8.5 by 11 piece.

Some sketch cards I picked up. Up first is an Invisable Woman / Alba sketch card by Brian Kong; Wonder Woman by John Watkins-Chow; Inkworks sketches by Tone Rodriguez, Liz Sherman from Hellboy and Lois as the Invisable Woman; and a Creature from the Black Lagoon submission card for Artbox's upcoming set by Brian Kong. Cool stuff!!

Nice pick ups! I'll have to post scans when I get back -- honestly I don't even remember a lot of what I picked up -- it was kind of a blur!

Nice pick up on that Heroes auto!

I had tickets on multiple days, but didn't win :-( Saturday really ticked me off -- I walked up to the Topps booth at 5 minutes to 6 (drawing was at 6), and they had the tickets sitting right where they give tickets out. I asked for a ticket and they said no!?! I pointed out the tickets on the counter and the dude stuffed 'em under the counter.

It was a bit odd, I thought. . .

Anyway. . . I'll post my swag next week. . .

Jon

Batman, you did REALLY well in getting that Family Guy sketch card! When I asked about getting one, Tone said that Inkworks wasn't allowing Family Guy sketches (and a couple other titles I can't recall). I was going to try for a Family Guy Christmas set.

I did get great Buffy & Willow sketches by Tone and then also a Doctor Who sketch by Tone and a Rose Tyler sketch by Mark Dos Santos. I'll post them later on.

Here's something I got that I have no idea what it is...

While in line on Sunday morning to get an Artbox goody bag (which I'd missed out on EVERY SINGLE DAY and only got on Sunday by the skin of my teeth (I was #16 of 20)) I heard something about a raffle for a costume card. Thinking it was some kind of drawing for a freebie I thought what the heck? and signed up for it. Sure enough, when 1:00 came around I was one of the winning numbers so I duly got in line only to find out is wasn't for a freebie but for a chance to buy a $199.00 Death Eater mask set that was limited to 100. Since I don't really collect Harry Potter I said to the guy next to me that I was a bit disappointed and not really interested at which point his friend (who didn't win) asked if he could have my ticket and about 3 or 4 other people all seemed to start staring at me expectantly.

Long story short, I went ahead and paid the $199 and have no idea what I have. What the heck did I just spend all the money on? Right before the rent is due! Any help?

Bob, it's a very limited set available only at Comic Con that's currently going for double the purchase price on ebay... I bet you could make a great trade for it from Potter collectors!

I"ve seen this on ebay go for almost 500.00 dollars. I kind of want to tell you to keep it. The set looked really nice and I'm not even a fan.

But if you're not a fan... sell it while the hype is still alive, my friend. Smile

Batman - I am so jealous of your Wonder Woman sketch card! It looks so awesome.

Wolfie it only sounds like a good idea if it's your two hundred dollars and the winner can also be from the States Wink Big Grin
