What horror show is that, Hornetsfan? Smile The only ones I know of are Flashback Weekend and Fangoria but those are on different weekends.

Paul, I won't be able to make the trip down this year because I have a friend's wedding that weekend. Hopefully I can get to the show next year. Frown

Looks awesome!

Please, please, please ask Chris Achilleos to bring some art to sell -- sketches, small pieces, whatever.

Looking forward to the show!

Jon

Caesar, didn't you say you were going to a wedding? You can get to the show - just organize a bachelor party/road trip to Carol Stream.

The thought occurs this may be YOUR wedding - in that case - "Honey, instead of a honeymoon in Hawaii - how about beautiful Carol Stream, Illinois?" Then fiegn surprise when you "discover" there is a card show going on in the hotel.

There is a precendent - a few years ago a guy from the UK came to the US for his honeymoon and did attend Paul's show.

Anyway, it looks like a great show is shaping up, I am impressed by artist Chris Henderson appearing - look forward to meeting him.

Don't forget that in 2006, we hosted a special Star Wars wedding for two customers at the Expo as well, in pretty much full costume!
Ah, that was a fun year. But then again, which year isn't ?
Hope to see you there.
As far as the artists traveling with originals, I doubt that Chris will be bringing originals to the show, for several reasons, he comes from the UK, and I am sure that the airlines are as gentle there as they are here.
And mainly, and this is why Boris and Julie never brought originals, is the insurance policies.
You may ask him for a commission, but it will be up to him at that time.
Thanks and take care.
Paul

I wish! I'm already 4 hours north of Chicago so it's a bit of a hike, and this wedding is another hour north of here...we have the rehearsal on Friday and wedding on Saturday, so that will keep me away this year. Sorry Paul. Shake Head

My wedding isn't until next year Don, but I really like your idea! Metal
First because we are going to Hawaii and second because it would be a great coup to pull that off. She's not into the "collecting" of things like I am, so she opts out of the shows, but someday I might get her to one...

Paul, I will NEVER forget that wedding, that was AWESOME !
I talked to Harris about it the next year and told him how uncomfortable I was at first, because I wanted to watch it and check everything out, but also didn't want to "crash" their wedding if you know what I mean, so I just hung out on the periphery until after the ceremony and then they let us take some photos of their cake, costumes, etc. That was really cool. Then the next year at Wizard World, I was at Anthony Forrest's table with the 501st and recognized one of the groomsmen (dressed as a stormtrooper) so I chatted about the wedding with him, too. That story is legendary, Paul. Thumb Up

Paul,
The show appears to be taking shape. The exclusives sound promising.
For those weirdos who attend pretty much for the cards how is the dealer list shaping up?
Dare I ask if there will be a Cardtalk gathering? Hopefully, you can get us a room a lot closer to the show hall.

Looking forward to the show. Dance

Hello All! Going to WW all 4 days. Yesterday, being the shortest day, was pretty grueling.I guess I am getting old or some such thing.
Anyway, There are a couple of changes with the roster. Irene Cara will NOT be at the Expo, she and the band are working on their CD, and cannot appear until it is ready.
Jim Kelly has landed a new film during the time of the show, so he will not be there.
Now, However, we are adding Olivia Brown from Miami Vice, Bunny DeBarge & working on more.
It appears there may be a couple of additional artists coming as well.... to be named later.
Already received the Exclusive Ghost Whisperer from Breygent, looks great! Rittenhouse just shipped us the Exclusive Spiderman, so it is on it's way! Yeah!!!
Also, at WW, I will have our Treasure Chest Charity project to be working on, hopefully, most of the artists will help out on this. The response has been greatly positive.
Well, gotta get ready to start the day...
Take care, have a good one, see you at the Expo!
Paul
