Suzie Plakson (ST:TNG, Mad About You, etc) will be at this month's show in Chicago. I'm looking forward to having my picture taken with her. She's 6'1" and I'm 6'6" tall. I've found that very tall women usually get a kick out of standing next to a man who's taller than they.

I once went on a date with a tall girl who was so excited because she got to wear high heels....Lol

We went to the Chicago show today and had a great time. The weather was very nice and the traffic wasn't bad either.

The first stop we made was to see Tony Curtis. I was surprised to see him sitting in a wheelchair, but he is rather old. Still, he was very gracious and kind. Here's a picture we had taken with him:

Sue had a little trouble getting back up, so Tony helped her. She got a kick out of that.

Next we went to see Caroll Spinney who is both Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street. Here's the picture we had taken:

The reason I have such a big smile on my face is that he was talking to us in Big Bird's voice! Lol

Next, we went to see Suzie Plakson who has played four different aliens on the various Star Trek shows. Surprisingly, there was nobody around her table and she was reading a book. Since there was nobody around, Sue had to take the picture:

I was hoping she'd stand up next to me but, for some reason, she didn't want to. Still, she was extremely nice.

Here are some pictures we had autographed from all of them:

I think you'll recognize the blonde in the picture with Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon:

I couldn't resist getting "Stony" Curtis to sign the following picture from his visit to see the Flintstones:

Here's the picture Caroll Spinney signed with his two famous alter egos:

Suzie Plakson had so many good pictures from which to choose, but I went with the following of her portrayal of K'Ehleyr on ST:TNG:

When I was talking to Caroll Spinney, I asked him to do me a favor. I said, "Look around at these other celebrities." He did and looked puzzled. I said, "There aren't many people standing around those tables, are there?" He still looked puzzled. Then I said, "Now look at the line of people who are standing here just to see you." He looked and said, "That's MY line??" I said, "Yep...these are YOUR fans." He got a big grin on his face. After posing for pictures and shaking hands, he thanked me for helping him realize how much he means to his fans. That really made me feel good.

While walking around this Hollywood autograph show, I saw a table that had the past three issues of Non-Sport Update for sale. This was NOT a dealer's table either. I walked up to the woman sitting there and asked her why she had NSU there. She introduced herself as Renee Haines and said that she now works for NSU! She's a new advertising representative for NSU. It was really great to talk with someone from NSU at the show!

Well, I hope I didn't bore you TOO much with this report. I guess I'm still just a tad excited about the people I got to meet today. The show was a LOT of fun. I hope they do it again soon.

Nice autographs. Isn't it great when the voice-actors speak as their characters. I loved it when June Foray spoke to me as Rocky the Flying squirrel and Natasha Fatale.

Thanks for the report Kevin! I always like seeing pictures from these shows and hearing about the guests. Glad to hear that you had a good time.

I just noticed that they added Faituza Balk to the April Burbank show. I have never seen her name at one of these before. They seem to be trying to add new names to each show!

I was told by a dealer that the Burbank show was sold to somebody else, and the new owner wants to add celebrities that would appeal to a younger crowd.

Not necessarily a bad idea.

Is it not run by the Courts anymore? I noticed a lot of changes. The name and website is new, and they mention a vip pass with a wrestling show and an afterparty.
I am trying to decide whether to go to the April or July show this year. I didn't think the guests were quite as strong the last two July's, so maybe it will be different this year if it was sold to someone else?

I was told the Courts sold it before the February show.
It seems to me, the new owner wants to make the show more like a convention than just a place to get autographs.
