Just to let everyone know....This year I'll be at Beta 3 Comics' tables 4204/4206. I will be there signing a Beta 3 Wizard World exclusive book I did some work in, and to promote an upcoming crossover I am penciling for them.
Come by and say hi!

In these tough economic times, it would have been nice if these celebrities had actually lowered their fees rather than raising them. Frown

I received an e-mail from Wizard less than an hour ago. Alex Meraz is listed as one of the three actors (along with Christopher Heyerdahl and Cameron Bright) from Twilight: New Moon who will be at Wizard World. On Saturday from 3-4 PM in Room A, all three are scheduled to appear at a Q&A panel for Twilight.

I see that they're doing a raffle-type drawing to get sketches from George Perez. IF you're lucky enough to have a winning ticket, you get the "opportunity" to hand over $100 to have him do a head sketch.

Sheesh....the last time he was at Wizard World, he did sketches for free. True, we had to stand in line for a few hours, but it didn't cost anything.

These people appearing at Wizard World do realize that we're in a recession....right?

501ST LEGION'S DROID HUNT

Join the members of the Midwest Garrison as they reenact the infamous Droid Hunt Scene from Star Wars! Pick up your "Droid" badge at the Midwest Garrison's Booth, and if the Stormtroopers and other Imperials find you, surrender your Droid for a raffle ticket and a chance to win prizes!

Here are the rules -

1. You must be attending Wizard World Chicago on either Friday or Saturday to play. You must wear your free Droid Hunt Badge prominently on your lanyard all day.
2. If Imperial personnel ask you, “How long have you had these droids?” you have been caught and must surrender your Droid Hunt Badge in exchange for a free raffle ticket.
3. The game ends at 5:01 p.m. on Saturday. Visit the 501st Legion Midwest Garrison booth after the game ends on Saturday and on Sunday until 2pm to see if you are a prize winner! All raffle ticket holders will also receive a complimentary Droid Hunt Badge just for playing the game.
4. Be on the lookout for Jedi! Some players may be given a special Jedi Mind Trick card to help you avoid Imperial capture.
5. Feel free to act “in character” when dealing with the Empire and have fun with your role as a Rebel Sympathizer! The 501st Legion thanks you for playing along and making this a memorable event. May the Force Be With You, Rebel Scum!

For those who have been, where is the best (least expensive) place to park? My son and I will be going tomorrow and I would like to figure it out ahead of time.

Thanks!
