Looks like the C2E2 folks are kicking things into gear. . . they already sent me a registration email and have a pretty interesting list of guests playing out including sketch artists Dave Crosland and Katie Cook among the guests as well as a HUGE artists alley that also has the following sketch artists: Jay Fosgitt, Brent Woodside, Jamal Igle, Jason Keith Phillips, Grand Gould, Gordon Purcell, Darla Ecklund, Kristin Allen, Luke Smarto, Mahmud Asrar, Yildiray Cinar, Uko Smith, Tim Seely, and I'm sure some I missed -- it's a HUGE artist alley.

I hope they can pull off an auction of sorts like they had last year of Iron Man 2 props -- it was very cool to see all the props in person.

Don't see an exhibitor list yet, but the show looks really interesting so far. . .

Lineup in Artist's Alley looks good.

Wish they would update or announce more media guests.

They have changed the union loading rules this year, which means it's not automatically out of the question that I'll go. Just have to see if I can afford the ransom on a 10x10 booth. Confused

yeah, the media guests are a bit lacking at the moment -- some folks from Ghost Hunters or some such show. . . last year they had some good guests, if I recall, but the media list wasn't huge like Wizard World was.

It's confirmed, I'm coming to Chicago 2 weekends in a row. I must be crazy! Roll Eyes

I will be in booth 1032, right next door to Marco's 258 West Authentic Booth and right across from some of the autograph signers.

I don't have plans to bring chase cards with me to this show. So if you're not going to be at Paul's show the week before and are looking for something, please let me know in advance.

Welcome anyone who wants to set up an in-person trade to be completed at the show. Thumb Up

Ed

I just checked the site and they've added some celebs!

Anyone else going to C2E2? Dealers? Collectors? Or do Ed, Marco and I get to have the whole place to ourselves?

Woo hoo. . .

I'll be going on Saturday, mainly to meet the cast of The Walking Dead and to get a book signed by Brian Bendis if I can get anywhere near him.

Chase binders just don't get looked at enough at the comic shows to justify the space in the van.

I will have:
  • Boxes
  • Official Binders
  • Lots of Base Sets
  • Packs
  • And over 3000 Autograph/Sketch/Costume/Relic Cards

    Is that enough?

    Ed

  • Sounds like a good start :-)

Are you going to be bringing any supplies?

Supplies don't traditionally move much at comic shows. But I will be bringing some.

If there's anything special you're looking for let me know before and I'll bring them with me.

I'll actually have more room for supplies at Pauls show since I'll have 3 tables and more room in van without passengers. But either show works if you need something special.

    Ed

. . . Not off the top of my head, but I'll think about it. . .

if you are really close to the autograph area you might want to bring 8 x 10 toploaders . . . those could be good sellers.

Already planning on having a pile of 8x10 toploads, photo sleeves, and even 8x10 screwdown holders. Location is everything...
