There probably won't be a lot of Pokemon/Yu-Gi-OH cards at the show. . . I have a few Pokemon promo foils that I'll bring, I'll also see if I have any other Pokemon/Yu-Gi-OH. . .

I will have some Yu-Gi-OH! structure deck boxes and some World of Warcraft singles, but that is it for me on gaming.

I was lucky enough to win a Star Trek TNG Series 2 box and binder raffle prize. Full breakdown to follow but my highlight was an Ashley Judd autograph. Clap

Been back home for a while - sorting through cards. I think the best part of the show was seeing the people - Scott Thomas, Dave Loosen, Ed Webb, Paul M.,Mike Kloc, Hippie Jewel, Kennywood, Iggy, xtime, WebJon, Anjee and many others. You folks make the show a success and fun to attend.
I looked for LovesMesomecards - and realized later as I sat at Iggy's table, you were standing right next to me!

I spent a bunch of $, but really didn't make any big hits. Got a Preview set from John Carter on Mars, and a set of Cult Stuff Propaganda Posters, no real good insert, infact, what I did get confused me.

Got my 3 Treasure Chest sketches from Ed, and bought 2 more from Paul of the 5 cards, I really love one of them.

Got a box of Red Sonja, the 3D cards and base set are absolutely beautiful, got 2 sketches, one is really bad, the other good.

Picked up base singles and inserts from Iggy and xtime - both these guys offer really good prices and are excellent people to deal with.

Danny Fermilach was there with old cards. I had a good size box of old cards for sale or trade, he didn't buy any, but I got 3 Davy Crockett greens from him. Brian traded me a few boxes for some of the old cards - thank you Brian. Now I've got a couple of boxes for open that box day!

Picked up a few other odds and ends, will have several days of sorting and filing, and I love doing that.

Thanks to Ed and Kevin for keeping this show going - while I didn't see a big crowd there tonight, it seemed like everyone was buying and enjoying the show. Looking forward to the next one!

All I ask is your are wanting them for your collection and not to flip.

The pack has been claimed and will be on their way Monday to Billy.

I was hoping to attend the show this afternoon, but I had family things to do and wound up staying home. I did get a chance to sort through my cards from yesterday. Here's what I got:
4 Boxes (Rittenhouse Indy Racing and Jericho for OTBD. 2 Benchwarmer boxes, Soccer Edition and 2002 BW from BW Vault. From the Soccer box got 1 auto, and from the 2002 box got 1 auto and 1 unsigned auto. I have found 3 unsigned autos in my collecting career, just wondered if anyone had found more than me.

4 Sets - Red Sonja, Fem Forces from Sadlittles, Warlord of Mars Preview set, Propaganda Posters

14 promos - 2 from Paul M, 11 show promos and one Dungeon Dolls SDCC2 promo

8 sketches - 2 from Red Sonja, 5 Treasure Chest, 1 Breygent Sci Fi and Horror (really nice, Dinosaur by Richard Salvucci)

13 autographs - 7 Benchwarmer, most from Vault box, 2 james Bond, 1 Joe Jusko auto from Warlord of Mars, 1 Pop Century Amber Benson

Many insert and base needs off my list, including 3 Davy Crockett green, several Charlies Angels 1

Overall, it was a nice show, and I got some neat stuff, had hoped there might be a Big Bang Theory box around.

Had a good time, much different for me though, first time I could sit and relax, a tiny bit.
Thanks Ed and Kevin, I can appreciate the work involved.
I look forward to the fall.

Also, I really, really want to thank everyone for being so generous towards the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation. We were fortunate to collect just under $ 1000.00 and a box of toys, card sets and boxes.

Thanks to all who had donated raffle prizes so that we can continue to raise funds for the Foundation.

Congrats to all the raffle winners- our BIG winner of the weekend for a Treasure Chest of Art Collection was Lawrence Kennedy! Congrats to you, Lawrence, enjoy!

Thank you to both our artists that really did an outstanding job this past weekend!
Connie Faye and Tom Kelly! Hopefully, everyone had at least the opportunity to check out some fantastic art from these folks.

Thanks again to the Holiday inn where the staff is always accommodating.

Bill, Thank you for your purchase of and congrats on receiving a TC of Art collection that you and Celeste can really enjoy!

See you all in October! Some sooner.
Paul

Prelim report for now...will update...

Finally back safe and pleasantly exhausted. Like others have reported it was great to see collecting friends Don, Dave, Mike, Jon, Paul, Carl, Iggy, Anjee & John. Also met HCBrewer from Canada.
Besides seeing and trading with old friends I appreciated the variety of cards and the breathing room. It was also great to see a good number of families with children shopping together.
Overall, a very good first show. Thanks to Ed and Kevin. Thumb Up

PS, Did anyone take any pics? Confused

You can bet that the McKenzies will be returning for the show in the Fall.

Adriana's favorite part was meeting Tom Kelly and puchasing an Eleckta sketch from him. She negotiated that transaction all on her own while I was at Ed's table making my own purchase, not bad for an 8 year old. She also purchsed several packs of Mario Galaxy card, a pack James Bond Heros & Villans from Ed and a Wasp Heroclik from the gentleman next to Flea Circus Collectibles.

Ian's favorite part was getting handful of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards from Flea Circus Collectibles, two Pokemon promos from Webjon, several packs of Mario Galaxy cards and Pokemon cards. He wanted to come back on Saturday. LOL Iggy, I want you to know I was an unpopular mother for not purchasing a box of the structured Yu-Gi-Oh! decks.

My favorite part was just looking at all of the cards and the worst was trying to decide what to spend my money on. There was sooo much and I wanted it all. Drool Filled a couple of my Vampire Diaries and Walking Dead holes. Next time I will be bringing more money and chit chat more. I wasn't sure if the kids would enjoy the show and how much I was going to have to corral them to stay out of people's hair.

We all had a blast. Thanks!!!

I was able to make it to the show !!!

was a 9.5 hour drive from my home in Toronto
(one way)
but well worth the drive Smile
the 7 hour trip to Allentown seems so short now

was great to meet all the card talk members

Thank you to Kevin and Ed for putting it on
and for bringing all the stuff they normally don't bring to the shows
- I was able to get quite the pile of oversized promo cards and added a few new dealer sell sheets

spent a good couple of hours with Webjon comparing my want list versus his sell list
and came away with quite a few chase cards to help fill in some holes

first time I did not win anything from Paul
but just means I will win big at the Philly show

was a good show
as most of the dealers were new to me
and I spent money with pretty much everyone
- including Bryan, lol

not sure if I will do this in October
but most likely try again next spring Smile

Wow, the first one is really over already...

Thanks to everyone who took time out of their day/weekend to come and participate. The attendance was not huge but very enthusiastic.

Thanks to the manufacturers for the great promos. And yes, you'll be hearing from me again soon because we hope to make this a tradition!

Thanks to the dealers and artists who took time out to come and set up. We had a great selection of cards and collectibles. I dare say there was very little that wasn't represented in some fashion.

I learned a lot this show, and will apply it to the fall show.

Mark your calendars for OCTOBER 5 & 6.

Liz and I had a show in Detroit on Sunday, so we had a full weekend. I'm just now getting settled in and trying to catch up on everything I put off the week before.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words. It was a lot of work but I consider the first outing a success.

Ed
