Anyone going to this in Chicago? I know there are always non-sport dealers there. I've bought some great stuff there over the past 6 years.

I've never been to it before but I'm going to try and go at least 1 day to check it out.

For the past 6 years, I have had to work while I'm there but I always get some time to walk the floor to buy and talk with people. I really enjoy the show.

Going for a day myself, the sun times show has been good to my always, as well as sportsfest.
A few years back I picked up a TNG Picard Star Threads costume card for $15.00, sold it for $65 at wizardworld 1 week later

Not really non-sports related, but if anyone goes, I would really like the Maria Sharapova pieceworks card. According to the article in beckett.com, you have to buy the Ace Authentic set from this year, take it to their booth in order to get this card. Email me and we can work out a deal.

I don't have any spending money for this show since Wizard World is next weekend so it looks like I'm passing this year.

Just back from the national. . .

Unfortunately I didn't find much to buy. . . I talked myself into buying a box of Dawn, but other than that I didn't find any other non-sport cards that interested me.

A few of dealers had modern boxes on parts of their tables. There was actually quite a bit of vintage material thought -- much more than recent material.

Can't wait for Wizard Next weekend. Until then I picked up a pile of Fleer Adrenaline boxes (X-Games type cards) so I'll be plowing through those.

Did you happen to see the exhibitor with a complete graded set of Horrors of War? The asking price is $325,000.

I'm sorry to say I didn't know Dee Robinson had a booth. The National's so huge I couldn't cover even half the main exhibition area.
