Only a few more days- 2 tables left for this show- any last minute decisions ?
Also, please remember, we will be collecting toy and card set donations for the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest foundation at this show as well.
We will also be selling card singles for charity, and we will be accepting card single donations for this program.
Both programs are a huge success in Illinois, hopefully, we can be successful in Ohio as well.
Thanks and take care, see you all there!
a few short days!
Paul

Great news! Just received the promos from Rittenhouse yesterday, so we will have Wolverine and Star Trek The Movie promos for the Ohio show. Limited quantities of each, so come early!
Well, that's all for now.Di and I are about to hit the road for the short 4 hr trip to Toledo area. We plan on going to the Toledo zoo this afternoon. I hear many nice things about their zoo and I enjoy Brookfield and Lincoln Park, so this will be a treat for both of us.
Take care and hope to see many of you there
(at the show). Please remember to bring something for the Treasure Chest if you are able. All donations are greatly appreciated.
Their website is www.treasurechest.org.

I just got back home! I had a good time. I spent more money than I should have.......thanks Ed and Bryan S. And the good news is I now have a box for "Open that box" day. It was good to see and talk to Paul M., Kevin B., Katie Cook, Uko Smith and Tony S. to name a few.

I'll post the few pics I took. First one is who you got to meet first as you came in (they weren't always that close Roll Eyes):

And I'll just post random pics of the show. I know probably a majority of the names but I don't want to forget someone or leave someone out, so I'll just post them for you to see.

And Tony S. gave me a handful of sketch cards to take this one......just kidding!! Big Grin Wave

Enjoyed the show . This was actually my first card show so i didn't know what to expect , next time i'll be better prepared . The dealers were very helpful , willing to look for the oddball cards i had on my list out of the 10's of 1000's of cards they brought . Even won a raffle prize - uncut sheet of Monty Python & Happy Jack artists pack . Hope enough people show up so they would consider doing this again , if they do , i'll be there .

Awesome card Tim. . . let me know if you want to trade it :-)

Looks like a ton of product there -- how was attendance?

Thanks for the pictures!

Was the Star Trek promo a show exclusive? If so, I would be very interested in trading for it if anyone grabbed extras Wavey

Just rolled in from a long day at the show, packing up and driving 5 hours home.

Thanks to Paul for putting on a great show. He really goes out of his way to make both dealers and collectors feel good about being there. LOTS of door prizes, lunch for the dealers and artists, and a nice positive attitude the whole time.

There were no show exclusive promos this time. Rittenhouse supplied Paul with Star Trek Movie P1's and Wolverine P2's. Both of these are the same promos sent to dealers for general release.

There was a nice crowd there for a good part of Saturday, Sunday was a bit lean but that was expected.

I took a few pictures which I'll post when the camera gets unloaded.

Paul was pretty confident that he would do another show next year. Sign me up, I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Ed

Hello everyone! The show went well for a first time. I did get to meet a whole new bunch of folks - thanks for stopping by and saying hello.
Everyone has been asking when the next one is, I will announce this news when we are probably done in Sept or during the fall Expo.
Depending on how the economy is and how finances are, if they are stable, I would love to come back to Ohio and do another. Everyone was so kind and wonderful!
We did a few things differently in Ohio than Chicago, so we will try them in Chicago next.
I want to thank everyone who participated in the charitable donations. We collected approx 5 BIG BOXES of Toys, and over 32,000 Single cards for the Cards For Charity program!
We also were able to create some revenue for them and some folks even gave straight donations! Thank you ALL for helping the pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation!
Thanks to NSU & Rittenhouse for their generous donations as well!
I will have some photos later for you. Will post as soon as ready.
Thanks again and can't wait til the next one!
See you in Allentown, take care,
Paul

Hi All:

Paul sent me his photos to post. Paul helped with some of the captions (and those are preceded with "Paul says"). Here goes...

Paul says: Dealer Ed Sanchez in the first photo- a little shy for the camera, but we caught him.

Katie Cook -- mid-Tweet, by the look of it. Big Grin
