Hi All:

Just got a call from "Uncle Allan" -- a very generous "Uncle Allan," I might add.

Inkworks is holding a breakfast for collectors and dealers at the upcoming NJ/NY Non-Sports Entertainment Card Show (i.e. Dee's Show). They have invited Card Talk members to come, free of charge. The breakfast will be Saturday morning, August 25, at 8 AM in the Emerald Room at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (where the show is held). They sent over the menu and it sounds like a really nice spread:

• Freshly baked croissants, assorted deluxe muffins, freshly baked danish pastries
• Fruit and nut breads, and bagels, served with butter, cream cheese, jams and jellies
• Fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juices
• Apple and cranberry juices
• Sliced seasonal fresh fruits and berries
• Assorted individual dry cereals - served with skim and whole milk
• Individual flavored yogurts
• Freshly brewed Colombian coffee, decaffeinated coffee, tea assortment

Anyone interested in coming should e-mail me and I will compile the list of those Card Talk members interested in attending for Inkworks. You must be a member of Card Talk as of August 1, 2007. Card Talk Member guests are welcome too but where possible, please try and keep them to a minimum as space will be limited and is first come, first serve.

Please e-mail me (info@nonsportupdate.com) no later then August 20 to be put on the list. As stated, first come, first serve. Please e-mail me your real name, name on Card Talk, e-mail address, and if you have a guest, the same info.

What a fantastic gesture.

This is indeed VERY generous of Uncle Allan! But then, he's that type of person.

For those who accept this invitation, I hope you'll also take a moment to personally thank Allan for this. So often, we take it for granted when something nice is done for us. A simple "thank you" isn't much to ask for something like this.

Sounds simply scrummy. Too bad I live so far away =(

Seriously .. Uncle Allan always does something very nice to show us what a great guy he is! He doesn't have to do anything but always does something special for all of us. Don't forget to tell him thanks from all of us when you see him!

Uncle is a Super Ambassador of Goodwill for our Hobby

I wouldn't be able to make the Breakfast, but will be there for the show.

I had planned to make the trip this year, but alas, I have to work this Saturday. The mortgage really makes my decisions for me now, haha. Plus, I have Countrywide (yikes!) the fastest hook in the mortgage business.

I was all poised to have a go at you then until you mentioned the mortgage.

Don't you just hate reality.
