Perhaps a fight broke out at the breakfast and everyone is too ashamed to say so.

How's that for stirring it up? Big Grin

Bad Wolfie. Twak

I can't think of anything that went wrong at the breakfast! My wife and I had a blast! OVM took our picture and I'm scared to see where it's going to turn up!

The food was good, Hennesey's was great. Meeting other cardtalkers was very cool! Trading with T42 was cool too! I won an uncut sheet of Garbage Pail Kids series 4 and the goodies bags go with out saying. Oh, alright I'll say it. AWESOME!

There were tons of prizes, and some of us donated various cards and such to be given out after the breakfast for anyone that wanted them!

Thank you Harris for organizing the whole event! It was excellent! Of course thank you's also go out to Inkworks, RA, Artbox and Breygent for the great goodies too!

Now, let's start planning for next year now...

Any News on the Breakfast?

I am not sure what to make of the silence here. Did everyone not like the breakfast? Two of the manufacturers complained about various elements and absolutely no one has posted here. I feel very down and disappointed after working hard to organize this. I collected so much stuff for everyone and thought that everyone would enjoy what they received as well as meeting their fellow collectors but there's been a big, giant collective thud of silence here so all I can make of that is that people were not happy with it for some reason. Perhaps this will be the last Card Talk breakfast.

If anyone who was there wants to e-mail me with constructive criticism, feel free.

Harris
Now that time has past, are you happy or sad at the response? It looks to me that everyone was convention-lagged Big Grin We here in the UK would kill for a meeting like this.
All joking aside, what was the problems with the manufactures?

Fear not for at this very moment the great Harris is organizing a massive breakfast meeting for the NEC in November. The worlds manufacturers will be flying in to shower you with goody bags and prizes the likes of which will make San Diego look like a picnic. Clap

He will deny it of course. Wink

Just to add my two cents. Thought the event went very well, Harris was a great host and I got to meet several charming card talk members for the first time.

I certainly wouldn't advocate stopping this, infact I would like to see more regional card talk gatherings which are not dependent on a convention. Maybe there is not the interest but I would think a periodic meeting of like minds and interests would be fun, heck we could even do some trading (a dying art I know but one of my highlights of any convention usually involves a trade with someone).
