Bill, if it's any help, it's a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport, and you can go over to the convention center right after the breakfast. For all you other Card Talkers who have not signed up yet, let's go!

Plus, you should be able to get the Comic Con shuttle right over to the show from the restaurant, if you are not into walking the 7 or 8 blocks. And the 7-8 block walk is not really all that far. I think someone posted here that San Diego blocks are not as long as other city blocks.

Plus it's downhill....LOL

As of this morning, Comic-Con has updated the website. Not the major update that occurs closer to the show, but there is quite a bit info up that is new, including an update on special guests and artists who have committed to appear as of June 4th. Worth taking a look at if you are planning on going.

Sideshow updated their website to include all of their upcoming San Diego Comic-Con exclusives -- and they've got what I consider to be a very cool thing -- Collect and Go. Pre-pay for your figures and pick them up at San Diego - no more waiting in line!!

I'd post the link, but I'm fairly certain even this is against policy -- but it's Sideshow Toy (not Sideshow Collectibles) if you're going to go look

I may be having an operation in July. So if I don't I might be there.

We'll certainly be there, we haven't missed a Comicon in at least 20 years. It should be interesting, this will be the first year for our youngest daughter.

Crumbs the Luke Skywalker one has sold out even to attendees, I think there are others still available. As OWM says this is a great idea - I know I always turn up at these things, prioritise what I have to do and plonk myself down in the most important of queues first.. this will save them space and the show and mean that their stall gets visits more evenly throughout the con. Everyone wins... unless they are a collector without a net connection of course - but you can't please everybody all of the time.

As mentioned in another post, it seems there will be an exclusive Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Comic-Con offering. I saw a costume card was mentioned, but it will most likely be offered as a set, similar to last years Harry Potter set. Cool!
