I can't wait for the show reports. If anyone can pick up any info on new Buffy merchandise, that'd be great!

Up at 4:30AM tomorrow, plane departs Newark at 9:00AM, plane lands in San Diego at 11:30AM, check into hotel around 12:30, have lunch and get supplies at the local store (Gatorade, snacks, cold ones), and get in line to get into the show at 6:00. I better go to bed, I'm tired already! I'm jealous that you are already there, Hippie!

Well we are all packed and ready to go.

We leave here at 8:30 am drive to the airport, wait around for a couple of hours, board at 1:30, arrive at 3. Get to hotel by 4, rest for a bit and we will get at the show by 6:30, to avoid some of the lines.

I wish I was there already, what a nightmare, all trains to the airport have been stopped, just hope we can make the flight, chaos in England

The suitcases are packed and hopefully nothing has been forgotten.
We have to drop the dog off at the Vets and then it's off to the airport.
Hope to see many new friends in San Diego and for those of you that can't make it this year, hopefully you can make it next year.

No suitcases, no pets, just waiting till 3:00 when I leave work, pick-up the family and begin that gruling 20 min. drive downtown. Best of luck with all your travels!

At last report, the Inkworks booth has been constructed. This morning everyone will be unpacking boxes to stock it with lots of show goodies in time for Preview Night this evening.

Preview Night is now toast!

I know I post this every year but it seems that it gets bigger and bigger each year. One thing that my father pointed out this year is that it seems the publishers and manufacturers are starting to squeeze the retailers out of the room. Anyone else notice that?

There must be a half-dozen cars in the room this year, and you barely notice them. Or maybe I've become jaded! And everyone's dispalys are getting more and more elaborate.

I ran into many Card Talk'ers tonight...Angeleyes777 and Flaming Carrot, Kristy and The Master (sorry that I got my stories mixed up Kristy...must be the jetlag), Barobehere, Paul Hart, Batman, Cverdec and his wife, and probably a couple of others who I am forgetting. Haven't found OWM and Mr. Kohlbus yet or Hippiejewel and Mr. Hippiejewel. Probably tomorrow.

Anyway, those are my random thoughts, for what they are worth. Gotta go now and see if I can post a couple of pictures, though Tamara has most of it covered already.

A couple of Friday updates:

The free collectible "Stewie" cards mentioned in the banner carried by the Stewie inflatable at the San Diego Comic Con (photo: San Diego Photo Thread) are P1 and P3 from Family Guy: Season One. They are not San Diego exclusives nor are they part of the San Diego promo card pack.

Also, Tone Rodriguez brought some of his friends along to do some sketches at the Inkworks booth today (Mark Dos Santos and Chris Moreno, I think).

Has anyone visited the J-List booth ?

Well, I am back and semi awake from the day of travel.
It was fun. I met a lot of people.
Got lots of giveaways.
Bought about 60 comics books(my other hobby).
Say the INkworks guys and gals a few times.
Got the Artbox harry Potter goodie bag for 50.00 and got a azkaban binder, tin, 3 prop/costume cards, an auto(genivere something), and a box of Hobby POA in which I got the Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter auto).

The most fun was hanging out with everyone and meeting people for the first time.
