Althought not as big as a Wizard World show, the Boston Comic Con has really taken off. It's now a two day show and getting bigger each time its held.

I went to Wizard World Philly yesterday. I'm surprised I'm the first person to report back in on it.

I met up with Batman and we walked around the show pretty much all day together. It was definitely a fun day out. Batman had not been to the show since '04 and thought it seemed smaller from then.

The one thing was really apparent upon entering the room is there are no more manufacturers of any size at the show. Not sure what happened there but there's nada! No Marvel, no DC, no Dark Horse, etc. That was really surprising.

As for the show from a card collectors standpoint, there was several trading card dealers there....TBear (Ted), Dave Moulder, and Derek. The artists area (which includes some small press too) is HUGE and there are a few card guys and girls there....Brian Kong, Dennis Budd, Tom Hodges, and Nicole Falk.

All in all, an OK show. I'll post some pictures below.

The Video Game Expo that was part of the show

As you can see, not all that crowded in the Video Game Expo area. Maybe it got busier later????

Was surprised to see Card Talk member Raven had her own booth space. Sorry we missed you Raven. Big Grin

We wanted to know who signed this one? Confused

Clearly the $20 charged for Obama has to make up for some missed sales opportunities....

All the manufacturers were at Heroes Con. Bad move by Wizard to keep going up against that show as Heroes is definitely the bigger (some would say better) show.
Thanks for posting pictures Harris!
