Here are the highlights for me.

On Friday, I attended a few panels. Nichelle Nichols discussed her acting and singing career prior to Star Trek and shared her opinions of JJ Abrams's version and Zoe Saldana (both positive).
John Schneider talked about how his acting career started by sneaking on to the set of Smokey and the Bandit, his hopes that Jonathan Kent will return to Smallville and his opinion on the Dukes of Hazzard remake (terrible!)
I also watched Trick 'R Treat and got director Mike Dougherty's autograph afterwards. I enjoyed the movie. It was in parts thrilling, suspenseful and funny. I'm looking forward to sequels either in comic form or on film.
While shopping for comics, some girls handed out ipod covers, bookmarks and t-shirts for Where the Wild Things Are. I also picked up some pins, pens and miniposters for Astro Boy.

On Saturday, I got autographs from ex-WWE diva Molly Holly, Benchwarmers model Chanel Ryan, Star Wars actress Maria de Aragon (Greedo) and Star Wars puppeteer Dave Barclay (Jabba the Hutt).
During the Q&A for Jim Lee, he described the pressures he was facing while trying to pursue his dreams.
During the Q&A for Joe Quesada, he couldn't say anything about the Disney/Marvel situation. But he did answer my question about future collaborations with other scifi/fantasy authors like Orscon Scott Card and George RR Martin (he said yes wherever it makes sense).
While walking the show floor, I got a Saw VI t-shirt and poster.

On Sunday, I attended the Dark Country screening. With a good sense of humor, Thomas Jane criticized the poor advertising for the panel, the location, the lighting, the sound interference from the other panel and the time it took place (10:30 AM). Afterwards, he was interested in our reaction to the twist and signed 8x10's for us (for free). I also enjoyed this movie and feel that the twist was very satisfying.
Christian Serratos talked about her Twilight costars and convention experiences (all positive).
Billy Dee Williams talked about how he cried his way into show business (he was 9 and auditioning for a part). He also enjoys comedic roles as evidenced by his participation in Robot Chicken, Fanboys and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Edward Furlong & Linda Hamilton talked about T2, working with Arnold and overcoming some internal demons.

I was also able to take advantage of last day deals (2 for $1, 3 for $1 & 5 for $1!) to fill lots of holes in my comic collection. Overall, there wasn't much that I was unhappy about. There's plenty of room to improve. And I'd look forward to the next show unless it conflicts with NYCC - seems like drama is already building up (www.newsarama.com/comics/091016-NYCC-VS-Big-Apple.html).

Had a great time at the con...I was fairly busy Friday and Sunday but Saturday was complete madness of course! I was drawing commissions from the minute I set up until closing....I only left my table when nature called!

It was cool running into old and new faces who were fans of my cards. Once again I am humbled and surprised by how many people know my work. It was amazing to get so much positive support from the collector community!

I will post pics soon of the sketches!

Looks like a great show--I was going to go but it didn't work out. (Getting an Alessandra Toresani auto would have been nice... maybe the BSG license will translate into a Caprica one...)

I think the Wizard people who put this on took over the Toronto comicon, so maybe we'll be in for something as spectacular as this up here. Here's for hoping --Chris

When are you talented people going to get it through your heads? These are not sketches. They're works of art. Superb Drool
