Collectormania Midlands is being held on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th April 2009 at the Birmingham Metropole Hotel ( NEC )
Website Autographica is also there over the same weekend They have announced a few guests : David Morrissey Gigi Edgely James Payton (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix) George Lazenby |

I can't believe they are putting this show on at the NEC just days before Memorabilia is staged there.

Never been to either an Autographica or Collectormania show. Is there a seperate entry fee for the two events or one ticket for both?

There was supposed to be a combined ticket being set up but no sign so far  Basically the Collectormania Midlands part of the show is 5GBP ( or 10GBP for Early Bird ) and the times are Saturday 1100 to 1800 ( 0900-1800 for Early Bird ) and Sunday 1100 to 1700 ( 1000-1700 for Early Bird ) The Autographica part of the show is 10GBP and if you pre-book you get in slightly earlier So Saturday is 1030-1630 ( If you turn up and pay at the door it is 1130-1630 ) and Sunday is 1100 to 1600 ( If you turn up and pay at the door it is 1200 to 1600 ) HOWEVER An official post from Showmasters stated

The Hotel lists parking as £7 overnight, nothing about daytime

Same here .Compared to the lineup at Milton Keynes this is pretty weak.Gigi was the only one that stood out for me. |

Depends on your viewpoint as I think this is a very strong lineup with David Warner, David Morrissey, Velile Tshabalala, Russell Tovey, Lenora Crichlow and Murray Melvin being the standouts from the Collectormania Midlands part
Add in the people at Autographica like Ernest Borgnine, Mickey Rooney, Joan Collins and George Kennedy from the acting profession, Charlie Duke the moon walker, Scott Carpenter from the Mercury spaceflights, Sir Henry Cooper and lots of WWII veterans including one of the Dambusters and this really is a don't miss  |
