Went today to the 1st ever ACE held at the Hyatt. The traffic was light, and you could easily get in & visit with people. There were ZERO card dealers. 80% were comic - 10% toys - 10% swords & medievil??

Here are some pics:

DICK GIORDANO - brought head sketches for like $30 each

ARTHUR SUYDAM - draws Marvel Zombies

TALENT CALDWELL - drew sketch cards for Fathom & Top Cow Universe

J.M. LINSNER - drew the DAWN trading card set

DEXTER VINES - inker & all around good guy

WHILCE PORTACIO - penciler extrordinaire

I'll scan all my pick-ups later; but i thought my funniest story was talking to Talent. He doesn't remember ANYTHING about drawing his sketch cards in 2001/2. I showed him one, and he couldn't even remember the characters name. great/funny guy - but no help. OH, and J.M. Linsner was selling a sketchbook that had copies of all his rarer DAWN sketch cards. I bought one, and some are: Eek

Oh, lastly - this was a small pick-up:

I would think it would be best to email them to interested parties instead of posting them.

This is a family board, so if they are questionable please don't post them.

Thanks,

DC is offering comic shop dealers "free" statues with purchase of multiple of there Absolute edition books.
For every 2 Absolute Dark Knight you got 1 Free "DK2" statue.
For every 3 Absolute Sandman you got 1 "10th Anniversery Sandman Statue".

Last update:

Dick Giordano

Whilce + a "business card"

Talent Caldwell (Poison Ivy) drawn & redrawn till he was ~happy with it

Sanford Greene (Poison Ivy) - He's the cover artist for BATMAN STRIKES

Andy Smith (Joker) - I asked him about the folding of CrossGen Comics - he sounded bitter like he never got paid for completed work -
