Good news from the Best Western. Due to the economy, they are lowering their rates for anyone wanting to stay there for the 50th Philly Non-Sports Card Show happening May 2-3. The new rate is $65.99.

Previously, the rate was $71.99 if you stayed there two nights or $81.99 with a one night stay. The new rate of $65.99 applies to one or two night stays. And the same amenities are still included (i.e "deluxe continental breakfast").

Also...for anyone who had already booked there, the Best Western tells us they have already lowered your rate in their system.

Here's an update on rooms for Philly. Though this thread was originally about the Best Western, I thought I would post here rather then start a new one -- I feel like I've started too many Philly threads already!

The host hotel, Hilton Garden Inn, is now sold out of room during the weekend of the Philly show though they do have a few rooms open on Friday night should anyone just be staying that night.

The Comfort Suites is also "officially" sold out but told us they would have a few rooms for Philly Show guests but you must call this week. So if you're on the fence, please call and reserve now.

We are unsure of how many rooms are left at the Best Western but last we heard, it also was close to being sold out.

So it goes without saying...if you haven't made your room reservations, please do so quickly or risk being sold out. There are other hotels in the area so if you do get sold out of the three hotels that we have made arrangements with, please call around as I'm sure there are likely other hotels in the area that would be happy for your business.
