Anyone else going to this?

I havn't been to a show since the Collectormania G-Mex (Feb 06!) but I think the opportunity to meet Mads Mikkelsen & Patrick Stewart is too good to miss! Clap

I'll be there Saturday with a rare appearance by my sister, Sharon Thumb Up

LONDON TRANSPORT DOES IT AGAIN!!!

There is no District Line on Saturday and Sunday between Whitechapel and Earls Court Mad
The whole of the Circle Line is also out.

Looks like we'll be leaving in darkness to get there as alternate routes are estimated to take at least 45 minutes longer. And "They" want us to leave cars at home and use public transport Roll Eyes

Graham,
I assume the alternative route goes via Mile end and Holborn?

Yep. And then get off at the next available District Line interchange. Funny how there was no disruption during the Notting Hill Carnival (Red Ken has a finger in both pies) Roll Eyes

Um, if you change to the Picadilly line at Holborn, it goes straight to Earl's Court (which is where the show is I think?) - no need to look for a District Line interchange!

Just seen a few more drop-outs from the guest list - this just isn't good enough one day before the event. I think by law, the show's organisers should be made to publish a conformation letter from their guests or representatives accepting the booking. I feel there are some faces put on the site just to boost ticket sales and they hide under the "no refunds for non appearance" umberella.

BTW, Thanks Paul Thumb Up

I doubt they'd do that more than once. If they advertise people without permission they open themselves to legal action.

So now we have all 4 of the Heroes actors here on Sunday Clap I should imagine the autos will be between £20 - £25 each. How does that compare with other countries they've visited?

Beware anyone scared of the dark going to this show! I have never been to such a poorly lit place that relies mainly on visuals for buyers and sellers alike. The irony was that downstairs, they were setting up for a lighting show Roll Eyes
Anyway...
I enjoyed meeting Billy West - very funny and I will start watching Futurama because of him. Hugh Mitchell was also very nice but if you based recognising him by the picture on the LFCC, forget it Big Grin
Bought various gap-filling cards and a box of Star Wars 30th (hoping for that auto Wink Got a very nice Katie Cook sketch Thumb Up
Pre ordered a couple of Heroes cases at a very nice price Dance

All in all, the show gave the feeling of an indoor market, poorly organised. Everyone made the best of it because that's all you could do. Roll on Collectormania.

I had photoshoot photos with Hayden P., Jack Coleman and Nana Visitor. Managed to pick up the first 2 but they're going to send me the Nana Visitor one because it wasn't ready when I left.

By the time I picked up 2 photos I'd had enough and didn't even try to get them signed.
I got Nana Visitor's auto on one of the photos they supply but only because there were just a couple of people in her queue as I walked past it.

I'd taken my camera but never took it out of my bag.

Bought 2 boxes of Star Wars 30th Ann,. a box of Batman Begins and the Adrienne Barbeau auto from Complete DS9. Nothing to mention in boxes.

iIf i wasn't afraid of the dark before, i am now!!!Sheesh GRaham, you weren't wrong about the lighting there were you??? What were they thinking??

Anyways i got there early doors.... managed to get a virutal queuing ticket for Patrick Stewart (#0003 Wink) but i was totally manic, especially as he was only signing for 3 hours!! Eek

So i went and got my auto from Dominic Monagham first, pleasant chap (some people have told me he is a bit of a wally at shows - but i didn't think so). Then i moved onto to Nana Visitor - now she was totally lovely.... spent our time talking about here hair - lol!! got two auto's from her!!

then i finally queued for PaTrick, my fav Trek Captain so this was something special for me and he at least made time to say hi and read my t-shirt proceeding to tell me he had been to Santa Cruz in Cali (my tshirt said Santa Cruz) considering how the organisers were rushing everyone!!!

Oh and graham if you want picture of the heroes stars, patrick stewart, or dominics monaghan... good luck!! no pictures were allowed in that area at all - posed or otherwise!!! i really hate showmasters sometimes!!!

good day though!!! very tiring!!

I went on Sunday but due to being on my own this time (My sister triped over the front step on Friday and dislocated here elbow) I was only able to get a ticket for Patrick in the mad rush at the start of the day.

It's a shame they were not able to get Patrick & the Heros cast for both days as it would have made it a lot sanner than the crush on Sunday.

I got number 395 for Patrick so got to him about 1pm. The staffer running the line said that they had give out over 1100. With him only having another hour to go after me there must have been alot of unhappy people when he left. Even though there was no photos or personisation he still had the time to smile and say hello, great guy.
