Dear fellow non-sport card collectors!

My name is Ron Vastola, Outreach Coordinator for USA Theatres (operating drive-in & outdoor theatres in Central PA), and now our new division, USA Theatres Conventions.

We are currently organizing an upcoming non-sports card show in the Baltimore-Towson area, billed as the "Baltimore Non-Sports Card Convention".

The event will be held on March 21, 2010 at the Holiday Inn at 1100 Cromwell Bridge Road in Towson, Maryland.

The show will feature 40+ tables of exhibitors where you can buy, sell, and trade!

Plus! Door prizes, free promos from card manufacturers, and a free sample copy of The Wrapper magazine.

Artists appearing include: Jeff Zapata and Mark Pingitore (more to be announced)!

Manufacturers/Publishers appearing include: Non-Sport Update magazine (more to be announced)!

Admission is $5 for adults and free admission for children under 12.

Want to exhibit? For more information, call 717-542-0567 or e-mail NonSportsCard@yahoo.com

Please spread the word!

Hope to see everyone there!

Best regards,

Ron Vastola

It's just under a three hour drive for me, a big factor in my attending would be the list of dealers that will be in attendance. Promos are a nice extra, but the reason I'm coming to the show in the first place is to buy cards, so I am interested in seeing the dealer list when it has been finalized.

The website for this show has been updated with a variety of artists, including some from The Trading Card Museum. Jim Kyle and Ted Dastick Jr have been added to the artist list as well.

This sounds like a good effort to get a show in the Washington/Baltimore area. My only concern is that the show is only 5 hours long, but that format might work well, we will see.

They need to fix the properties I've worked on (Ron knows already), but yeah I'll be there.

The short time frame might be tough to get on-site commissions done! Red Face

I noticed that artist Rhonda Havlock from the Trading Card Museum was added to the list (she is the artist that did the original sketch for the TTCM P3-T Mike Tilford Philly promo).

Also Martin Grams and Terry Salomonson have been added as well. Martin Grams and Terry Salomonson are the authors of the up-coming GREEN HORNET book due for publication January 2010. Martin's TWILIGHT ZONE book recently won the Rondo Award for "Best Book of the Year."

Impressive efforts so far, and I hope the show is a wild success.

But no way I can justify 1800 mile round trip for a 1 day show on a Sunday for only 5 hours. That's going to be tough for anyone traveling any distance to the show.

Hopefully it's so successful I have to make the trip for their next one!
