I know it is rather inconvenient with Wizzard World starting up on the 9th, but I will be there as my first official non-sport show. I hope to see some of you out there (perhaps even some of you from abroad who are comming in to enjoy chicago for a few days before WW.)
Paul M, if you are wondering about Fall CECE, I am still waiting for a confirmation on the dates and my wife's work schedule. ____________________ Feeling happy? Then rip open a box. Feeling blue...then rip 2! |

Sounds interesting. Now if you're promoting a show remember we need to know:
When Where # Non Sport dealers (since this does not sound like a card-only show) website for more information? A quick Google search of Chicago Toy Con yielded no clues, so do share. Never know when you might find the next person who will come to the show. Very good point Ed (gee, can you tell that I am NOT the promoter?).
Anyway, the show is 8/5 from 8:30-2:00 at the Bridgeview Community Center lacated at 7900 S. Oketo Ave (about 1/2 mile west of Harlem) with a $3.00 admission. This show boasts 60 Dealer tables with a mix of Toys, Comics, Non-Sport Cards (no confirmation of how many card dealers yet) and TV & SciFi related collectables. The show's website (www.toycontoyshow.com) also notes that this show will include a Hot Wheels show in the side hall. ____________________ Feeling happy? Then rip open a box. Hello all,
Terry Mannix runs this show, 2007 marks 10 years helping the Treasure Chest for charity shows. I also carry a link to his site on mine, www.nonsportcardexpo.com. I have attended Toycon shows probably most of the 10 years. It is a decent show and he gathers a good crowd, Dec is his charity show, runs a toy drive, which is very successful. He themes some of his shows such as Mardi Gras, Hot Wheels, etc. As far as nonsports goes, it is mostly toys, some comics, some nonsports cards. If you are local, please check it out, it is a fun show, and sometimes there are some real bargains, but you have to look for them. I also will be there in August promoting our fall expo. Well take care, and I hope this helps. Keep watching for my next post. I have some exciting news to announce! Thanks and take care! Paul |
