Hi All:

We're ready to get going on plans for this year's breakfast at Comic-Con. The breakfast will be held at Buster's Beach House and Longboard Bar in beautiful Seaport Village (807 West Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101). Due to Comic-Con's earlier opening hour this year, we've had to move up the breakfast start time by 30 minutes. The gathering will be on Friday, July 25 at 7:30 AM. Seaport Village is very close to the San Diego Convention Center and also, just a shuttle ride away from one of the nearby hotels for those who prefer not to walk. The breakfast will be held in Buster's Beach Loft, which has a wonderful, panoramic view overlooking the San Diego Bay, the Coronado Bridge, the Marriott Marina and on down towards the Convention Center, with windows on three sides.

We invite all Card Talk members and their guests attending the show to come. Though anyone may attend, only registered Card Talk Members (registered as of June 1, 2008) will be eligible this year for the promo giveaways and prizes. And a maximum of two members per group/family will be eligible for promos & prizes. As we have always tried to make the Card Talk member gatherings more about camaraderie, we'll have less focus on giveaways/prizes, though we do expect to have a few and that will be done at the end of the gathering this year. Also, don't forget that if you attend this year's fest, Upper Deck will give you 3 exclusive Marvel Masterpieces promos with the purchase of the Non-Sport Update Comic-Con variant issue from their booth (more details on that are here.)

The cost is $20.95 per person. Prices include all taxes and gratuities.

We’ve already made arrangements with Buster's for a great "Luau Style" buffet breakfast. Here's the menu:

• A choice of Orange or POG juice

I know there are a couple of our usual guests that will not be attending Comic-Con this year and am just a bit worried that we'll have enough members/guests attending the breakfast. We need to have approximately 45 members and guests attend the breakfast to make it fly. We only have a couple of weeks to go before we can cancel the room so please commit now to attending! Even if you are unable to submit your payment right away, if you could at least e-mail me to let me know you'll be coming, that would be appreciated.

Batman has paid, looking forward to it, especially the "prime rib hash"? POG juice sounds interesting, is it made from recycled pogs that no one collects anymore? As`Harris stated, if you are planning on attending, sign up now!

I simply avoid juice of any kind. Coffee, water, Gatorade, and Miller Light works fine with me.
