Baltimore Comic Con
October 10, 11, 2009
Location: Baltimore Convention Center

There are a TON of artists and publishers that will be attending so I won't bother to list them all but... Neal Adams and Joe Kubert were both announced as guests in the last week.

Sketch card artists (so far) include: Nicole Goff, Adam Hughes, Sherry Leak, Bill Meiggs, Dan Parsons, and Allison Sohn.

As far as non-sports go, there's usually a dealer there with older non-sports. I'll be there with Zeno's Comics and Derek Woywood and Ted A. will be set up as well.

Updated list of sketch card artists:

John Watkins Chow
Kate Glasheen
Nicole Goff
Adam Hughes
Sherry Leak
Bill Meiggs
Dan Parsons
Buddy Prince
Allison Sohn
Pop Mhan

I'm sure there are more, but it's a HUGE guest list and these are the only names that jump out at me. I know artists like Greg Horn and George Perez have done artwork that's been included in card sets, just not sure if they've done any sketch cards per se.

I hope it is a great show for all of you guys. I'm sad that I won't see you at Philly, and it is a shame that both shows are the same weekend.

Have fun!

Mike.

What a great show! Definitely the biggest selection of dealers and artists they've ever had. It'll take me a while to post all the photos, but here are the first few (most of the dealer photos were taken on Sunday before the show opened, which is why the racks look empty)

Show entrance

Ted (aka TBear on Cardtalk)

Derek (blanking on his CardTalk id)

Zeno's books (left to right, Wayne, Sherry and Tony) Sherry was our "booth babe" for the weekend and had some great costumes.

Artist Nicole Goff (Spider-man Archives, X-Men Archives)

Artist Josh Alves (Marvel Masterpieces sketch card artist, on hand to promote his new book the Araknik Kid)

Brian Kong and some of his prints (I picked up a set of his Allen & Ginter cards... they are beautiful!)

Bill Meiggs (Marvel Masterpieces Sketch card artist

artist Neal Adams

artist Don Rosa

That's all for now, I'll post more later in the week. Thanks to everyone who stopped by during the weekend.

I ended up putting all of my photos in video mode and uploaded them to YouTube. It's much quicker than uploading and posting each photo. The link is below.
