Hi All:

I'll be bringing over a bunch of cards to Memorabilia next month. Many of them will be given away at the Card Talk Collector Event. Some will be given to everyone who attends and some will be given out randomly. And some will be given away with the purchase of a subscription or renewal to Non-Sport Update.

We hope many of you in the U.K. will attend. I'll be posting some of the specific cards here in this thread, so keep an eye here.

To kick thing off, how about this beauty? We've got a hard-to-find Batman Archives CP1 to raffle off to one lucky person. The card was donated by Card Talk member silmapco.

More details soon...

Harris

You are a terrible tease. I've been trying to track this one down for some time. Do you know which convention is was released? Not many seem to have got out. This is definately very limited, and there's a space in my collection waiting for it to turn up Eek

Thanks to Silmapco for this kind gesture.

It was only distributed at a summer convention held in Toronto, as far as I know. It is tough!

Wow, they've done my job for me...

Yup, everything they've posted above is true:

- The meeting day/time has not been set yet but my hope is for Saturday mid-Day.

- My understanding is that the CP1 card was exclusive to a show in Toronto as well. Perhaps Robert could come by and confirm? Hope you win it Steve J!!

Harris

Harris - I've always thought that you were one of the nicest people in the world, and to this end, I would like to save you the trouble and valuable time during your visit to our humble shore and relieve you of the burden of this card. There is a pot of Jellied Eels with a side order of mash and liquer in it for you as a "Thank You". Some people may look at this as a bribe but I prefer to think of it as a bartering trade Big Grin

At the moment Harris is trying to find out from the organizers when the stage is free and when we can use it for a meeting.

These wouldn't be in the Scotch Eggs family of "delicacies," would they? Eek

Blimey, there's posh if you have a liqueur with your eels & mash. Big Grin I'd rather have 2 pie mash & liquor with lashings of chilli vinegar, with a can of Fanta to drink. Can't beat it!

My personal preference is 2 pie, 2 mash, a sav and liquor... But I don't get the chance all that often.
