Someone else pointed out this morning that I never posted a show report, so here goes. The show as rubbish!!

LOL, seriously. From my own perspective, I thought it was one of the best Memorabilia's. Our stand being close to the front door, we could see there were lines of people at both the early bird entry and regular entry. From a business perspective, NSU did very well.

On a personal level, I also had a great time. My accommodations during the week leading up to the show were top notch -- Big thanks to CSI Dave and family who put me up during the week. Got to see how a proper English family lives day to day. I got to hang out in London with both CSI Dave and Quaint1 on two different days. Got to do a bit of record shopping and sight-seeing. The Christmas light in London are amazing as is Windsor Castle.

Then it was down to the show. As stated, I was very happy with it. It was great that Inkworks was able to give us a great promo pack to go with subscriptions and renewals. And it was also great that several other companies and individuals gave us promos to hand out during the Card Talk Collector Event -- Rittenhouse, Donruss, Inkworks, Upper Deck, iCardz, Miket999, and Silmapco. Speaking of which, I thought the event went pretty well, apart from my nerves. Thank heavens for Quaint1's jumping in and explaining things from time to time. It was great hanging out with Quaint1, CSI Dave, Patdata, and Paul Hart all show long -- too bad Gary couldn't make it this year.

Also, big props to Jim Kyle, NIK, and Patdata, all of whom gave us art to give away during the Card Talk Collector Event without asking for anything in return!

I didn't get too much of a chance to walk around this year but did on a couple of occasions. It seemed like many of the dealers had an OK show, especially on Saturday.

Sunday night, CSI Dave, Quaint1, and Patdata ate a curry in Birmingham city center. After not being able to find a suitable place for this last year, it was nice to find one this year. The food was really nice as well.

And then the depressing time came -- the week was over and it was time to come back to reality. Ah well, I'm back home now.

Good to see Harris got back home safely. The feedback from the dealers was that it was a very successful show. It might have something to do with the pound / dollar rates!! Wink

I haven't given a show report this year everyone seems to have said everything. I did miss UK Paul though - where was he?

I know the cardtalkers I had a chat with, really enjoy talking to each other - putting faces to people as it were. Thanks to Wolfie for letting me know where the show special cards were located.

Again thanks to Quaint1, Triple Frog, QBall, and Justm for card trades

Thanks to all the card talkers, card manfacturers, Harris, Quaint1, CSIDave and especially Patdata who went out of their way to make the event a very special one!!

Sorry it sounds like a name dropping exercise, but all these guys helped to make the day special.
