Miss Lizzy gets the last 4...

And with that it's all over but the shipping. Roll Eyes

Remember, it's more fun when you post your sketches when you get them!

Collecting Sketches of the Character Crystal

November 24, 2012, 04:14 PM
Don Norton
Got my cards yesterday.
They are:
Spiderman by Matt Chic - Very stylized figure in B & W with Green background

Iron Man - Line drawing of head by "Rusty"

Both are okay, would like to see more color in them.
Thanks to Ed for doing this, also thanks for the promos.

Got mine today, quite an assortment: 5 B/W and 1 color.

Supergirl by Leanne Buckley, blowing hair, very nice.

Two by Leigh, I really like these. One is I believe Night Crawler and the other is a guess, but I would say its the character John Considine. Very well detailed and the Considine has a background coming out of his cigarette smoke.

The fourth B/W is from Marcus Pullen and its a well done armored soldier or creature. Looks kind of like a Knight, but no eyes, just a face plate. Sorry, I'm not up on some of these comic or gaming characters, but its nice.

I'm not sure what the last B/W represents, but if it wasn't drawn by a child, I wouldn't call it anything. The signer's name is H. Jonathan Goltz and it has an email written for greybouquet com. I guess its a duck with its head chopped off and on the ground. I'm thinking its a kid from the Foundation, if so that's cool. If not, I have no words. Big Grin

The one color sketch is great! Penn and Teller holding the ace of spade and a caption "Is this your card?" This drawing is dead on accurate and I love it, wish I could make out the artist name better. Looks like j(ay) and website aothiettar.blosspot or something. Really nice work and thanks Ed for doing this again.

On a personal note to Ed, I can't seem to get through to SciFi on my last 3 replies. You have my email if you want to contact me. Thanks.

Received my two sketches today, one B/W and one color.

The B/W is a loose, animation-style pencil sketch of Darth Vader, by Kayla Woodside.
The color sketch is a nice, somewhat cartoony type character of ??? Maybe a character from Transformers? Maybe someone will know fom the attached photo.

Raven, you got a sketch of John Constantine? Cool! Cool

Thank you for doing this Ed and thanks for the great promos, too! Smile

I could be wrong, it would be an unusual subject, but that's my best guess.

Its a man in trenchcoat type jacket with tie, collared shirt, belt buckle holding a smoking cigarette in his hand. The smoke flows into a background of five eyeballs and a sideways profile of a nose. If this were a colored piece it probably wouldn't look as nice because the line details would be lost.

Its signed Leigh 2011, so only the artist would know for sure. Smile
