I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, but I used to be a regular daily poster and in the past few months, not so much.

One reason why I haven't been here as much as before is because I frequent other communities.

The other reason is because my husband filed for divorce on Friday, the 16th, which was also our son's 5th birthday.

I don't want to bore everyone with the details, but I just wanted you all to know that I'm still alive and I still come here & post to escape reality if only for a short while.

If you email me and I don't get back to you right away, this is why.

I wondered why this place hasn't been as sunny as it has been, lately!

Thanks for sharing, Angelina. I can only imagine the situation you're going through. I also find it hard to imagine that you have to face it. However, I take this opportunity to wish you all possible good, in this time. Whatever it's worth. Just remember that even though many of us don't know you (or each other, for that matter) other than for our similar interests, it doesn't lessen our concern for your well being.

Just remember no matter how bad a time you're having, you'll have this little place to forget about life for a while.

I think I stole that line from a song! LOL

I am deeply saddened to hear this. As a child of divorce (when I was 4) I can attest to the pain it caused me and my brother. I know you will get through this, and I know that you will keep your son as your priority. My prayers are with you.

It is definitely a life shaker, I'm sure. Take care of yourself and be patient with the healing. It is not a quick process, but it will happen.

I know it probably sounds trite, but try to relax. Find your own way to relieve the stress as best you can. If it helps to come here and spend time online with something fun, then do it!

My thoughts are with you. I went through this myself a few years ago, and even though it sounds corny to say, things do get better. It is tough that your child gets to go through this with you, but they are pretty flexible and learn that things will work out.
