Here's my case. Nice cards, but I see places in the text that refer to details from the book that weren't in the movie!

Boxes contain 24 packs of 8 cards, although packs with costume or prop cards will have fewer cards because of their thicknesses. The Hobby edition has 7000 numbered boxes, 10 boxes/case. Each box will hold approximately 2 complete sets, but the displacement by thicker cards might leave you a couple of cards short or with a few extras.

The nine Cinema Film Cel cards are numbered to 294, which sums to 26% more than you would expect at 3:case and 700 cases. The sum of numbers for costume cards is 8080, 15% above the expected 7000 at 1:box. The sum of numbers for prop cards is 2820, a 34% "overage" for damage, replacements, and non-pack distribution (if any). Numbers are not provided for autograph cards (5:case), but Harry, Ron, and Hermione appear to have about 100 of each signed, with Grawp less than 200.

From the logos on the back of the prop cards, it seems that the slogan of the Ministry of Magic is "ignorantia juris neminem excusat" (i.e., ignorance of the law excuses no one). Shouldn't that be the slogan of the Wizengamot, not the Ministry?

Wah- I want the main three autographs and Evanna Lynch, since I thought Luna was wonderful in the film. (of course I've only bought a few packs thus far.)

Anyone else sorted out basic sets in a full case yet?

Yesterday, I helped sort a full case plus 4 boxes for a friend, and came up with just 17 sets and a massive number of leftovers.

Tonight, I sorted a full case of my own and came up with 20 basic sets and just 10 leftover cards in the entire case.

What have you seen?

my case break was similar to yours. I had 20 base sets and 12 left overs.

The colation on my foil cards were horrible. I only have 3 sets out of a case and a ton of extras. Shake Head

I was 1 card short of 20 complete sets. For every box that had less than 180 cards because of thick inserts, the missing card(s) were extras in another box. My only short was in the box that had only one of it but extras of other cards.

My foil pulls also gave only 3 complete sets, with up to 8 of another number. This was slightly better than 3D. (Then again, I only got 8 base sets from my case for that series.)

I have now sorted 12 cases and have found that most cases give 20 base sets and In the others it is bad very bad. I had 1 cases that had 4 sets without card 57 and then i found 4 extra in the next 2 cases so that was alright but now i have a shortage of number 11 cards in the case i am sorting now but i am sure i will find those elsewhere before i finish

So it's becoming an occasional pattern, in maybe 1 out of 10 cases worldwide ... your first case for World of HP in 3D was very short in #54 but it showed up in your other cases, and my single 3D case had 12 sets missing only #24. I'm convinced there are certain numbers that they use to fill spots in packs that might have (but don't) have costumes/props/autos. If the "missing" cards don't show up right away, it's pretty tough to fill out a large number of sets-minus-one by trading, when a box doesn't provide many extras ...

currently after sorting 147 boxes I have 6 sets missing no. 11 which in the grand scheme of things is not bad for me but if a collector buying just 1 case had a bad one then it is so much worse

Box Topper #4
Rare Foil 2, 3, 5, 7, 9
2 Complete Sets with 3 extra cards
Costume: C14 Ravenclaw Robe 384/520
Autograph: Evanna Lynch as Luna Lovegood (Redemption) Smile

Box 2 0133/7000
Box Topper #4
Rare Foil 2, 4, 5, 7, 9
1 Complete Set/1 Set missing 1 card(not one of my extras from the other box Frown)
Costume: C6 Cho Chang

While I was slightly put off by getting only 1 chase card that was different, I was quite pleased with the coalation. Is it just me or were ther WAY too many autograph redemptions in this set?
