John Saxon's autograph was looking rough in that set.

Seeing the signer names again I'm kind of sorry I didn't buy in back then. I guess I just didn't want to expense the whole thing at once, but all those people were well known TV guest stars of the time. I did pick up a couple along the way, but not as many as I would have liked.

For me this was one of those bargains that don't seem to be around anymore . I got an archive box in a Thanksgiving sale from one of the two big online retailers ( it was either Dacardworld or Blowout but I can't remember which Roll Eyes ) three or four years after release and paid the same as I would have for a normal box when first released Smile .

Several of these signers have movies from the 1950s. Richard Anderson has one from 1947.

What is the oldest movie with a cast member who has a modern signed card?

If you are using Richard Anderson as an example, he is deceased. The definition of a "modern" card is everything after 1970 I think, although I don't agree with that.

Anyway by including deceased actors and any certified autograph card termed "modern", you could look to many actors from the Twilight Zone sets. I would think Mickey Rooney would be a very good bet. As a child star, he made his first movie in 1926.

If you said only currently living signers or kept the cards more recent, you would get a different answer. William Shatner had a bit part in a Canadian movie in 1951 as one example.

It would be hard to beat 1926 and Mickey Rooney. Your mentioning him made me think of Rose Marie and June Foray, but they only go back to the 1930s.

If you consider only living signers, child actress Marilyn Knowlden's first movie was in 1931.

Robert Wagner has some Pop Century autos. He started in movies in 1951. He will be 92 in Feb 2022.

Rooney is going to be tough to beat. Aside from cuts I don't think there is anyone before him.

I thought we were talking about living actors who signed whose careers go back the farthest. Rooney died in 2014. I can't think of anyone who signed for cards who did movies before the 1950s who is still alive.

June Lockhart is still living (96 years old this year) and she has signed for several of RA's Lost in Space and Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen sets.

Her first movie role was in 1938 - she played Belinda Cratchit in "A Christmas Carol" which also starred her parents - Gene Lockhart and Kathleen Lockhart.

Try Donnie Dunagan who signed for Art of Robert Aragon, he appeared in Son of Frankenstein in 1939.
