These are oversized packs with one 5 inch by 7 inch sketch PLUS one oversized promo card.

NOTE: Please see the similarly titled thread for the standard sized mystery packs which came with one autograph, memorabilia, OR sketch card PLUS one promo card, with both of those cards being standard sized.

Price at the show for these oversized 5X7 packs direct from Breygent was $30 per pack. I do not know if there was a quantity discount as I was only able to buy 2 packs on Wednesday night. When Sunday rolled around, I was glad to have enough money left to purchase 2 more, so I bought 4 packs in all. Sketches seem to be either Cartoon sketches or else related to the upcoming Sci-Fi and Horror poster set.

Here they are:

Tim Levandoski

Bob Stevlic

Gooney Toons

Adam Cleveland

The cards all come in an oversized top loader for protection. As far as the promos, I received the new Movie Posters P1 with the Horror SciFi Sketches and also one of the Betty Boop sketches. The other Betty Boop sketch had the Rock Posters promo with it. These promos are the size of the original Breygent Sci-Fi & Horror movie posters cards (I believe 4X6) from a few years ago, which means bigger than the average card, but not as large as the sketches.

Once again, I was happy with my purchase of a Breygent product, as I find each of these cards to be outstanding, and truly finished paintings as opposed to mere "sketches". Thanks to Tom and company for going the extra mile to come up with new ideas for cards, making sure these ideas are nicely executed, and most of all, making them available at a very reasonable price. Clap

Awesome Morrison! My fire is lit by that one.

I'm also most interested in the Woodstock and SciFi horror ones like Nick9819 above, but I sure wouldn't mind one of the Golden Age beauties by O'Connell (VOC). Man, she knocked those out of the park.

I do have 6 more 5X7's coming, hopefully early next week, and I will post them once I have them. Wish me luck!

Here's a lovely 3X5 from Tim Shay. Not sure which pack this size comes from, but what a knockout, especially having paid only $12 for it, less than the cost of any of the Mystery packs!

And here's a proper 5X7 for this thread, a Golden Age SATANA by John Ace. Another knockout I somehow won in an auction for only about 20 bucks!

It's becoming apparent that these sketches aren't necessarily the best for "flippers" who are buying the packs for the sole purpose of opening them to sell whatever they find inside. On the other hand, there is now a huge swell of these beautifully illustrated cards (many oversized) available for some amazingly low prices to those interested in them.

There were some Woodstock sketches featuring Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, John Lennon, and others, and while they are easily among the nicest sketch cards (actually finished works of art, not mere sketches) I have ever seen, many are available for $100 or less somehow. It's a great time to be an art collector, that's for sure.

...But a terrible time to lose your job. After 20 years the plant I worked at shut down...If anyone needs a great Warehouse manager or supervisor I would appreciate it if you would keep me in mind. No money, no trading cards...sadly
