Deeceman's case is unique so far. Wink

I've seen 25 case breaks, and 20 are in clusters of 2 or more (with no more than 1 card different); 2 differ only by 2 cards; and 3 are in their own universe.

thanks for the comments- I also liked the Ron costume card with the two color swatch, most of the others I've seen around are solid red so that was a nice little bonus. I feel like I want to do another case although the prudent thing might be to just buy the singles that I want. We'll have to see where the case prices go I guess.

Speaking of Snape (Note to Artbox): Would love to corral Mr. Rickman into a few autos. He's the one graph I'd want above ALL others who have yet to sign in any HP card series.

It's sad really...I wonder if he just doesn't like the character or what...Snape is probably the deepest character in the books

R2,4,6,7,8

Box #2

P12 110/295 Nose Eating Tea Cup Boxes
R1,3,6,8,9

Box #5
BT1

R2,4,6,8,9

Box #6
BT2
Natalia Tena as Tonks
C3 198/380 Ron Quiddich Robes
R2,3,4,5,7

Box #7
P9 274/290 Slughorn Curtains

R2,3,4,5,7

Box #10
C13 189/490 Ferir Greyback Robes
P5 Slughorn’s Office Wall Covering
R1,4,6,8,9

I am really happy with the Bellatrix auto, the Lavender auto, and the P11 card as they were three cards I really wanted. Kind of bummed by the duplicate C1 card, though I am glad that was the only duplicate chase card, as well as not getting a Maggie Smith or Emma Watson auto as they are the last two autos I really need of the major characters that I have collected from Potter sets over the years.

I also got a lot fewer costumes than expected. I was expecting 12 costumes (1:box) which was the ratio I was used to, but I only got 10 costumes. However, with 4 props and 5 autographs, I can't complain.

I'm pretty happy that the only two cards that I really want to chase are the two Carrow cards, and possibly the Smith auto. I think I am going to try and get a Watson auto from previous sets, as I didn't really like the picture or design on this one, so everything worked out pretty well.

If you didn't count the Death Eaters, do you have a memory on how many Dumbledores, McGonagalls, and Tonkses you found? We're trying to estimate the total numbers signed over here. Wink And you did report on 11 of your 20. Cool

Update: Well, if your cases fit the pattern for "clusters", I would guess that the answer to my question is that you pulled zero Dumbledores, McGonagalls, and Tonkses. That would be a good reason for not reporting one!

The Dual and Hermione cases seem to have a Lavender each and the Ron cases seem to have two Lunas, and I've only seen one case type with a Bellatrix and Lupin, plus one more Lavender and Luna.

I hereby predict that your numerous Death Eaters included 4 Amycus and 5 Alecto.

I'm only a squib. I did pass my OWL in divination, though.

The other autos in the Dual, Ron, and Hermione cases have been the same. You might have variations on costumes or props because you pulled a P4, but your autos conform to Case Clusters A, D, G, and H. Wink There have been 3-4 of each reported out of the 37 case-break reports, so you did very well by finding all of the Big Three from only 4 cases.

hiya Jeff-

does my case still stand up as a "unique" one or have you seen more like mine. Also, not sure if this is allowed or not but do you know of other sites where the reports on this product are coming in? I'd love to read more breaks than what we've seen here so far.

Still unique, "Cluster M." Wink You definitely had the best auto selection of any case without one of the Big Three, with 3 Rares plus Luna and Tonks, and yours rivals or exceeds the others for value.

I don't think it's a problem to mention another (non-commercial) forum, The Yak Shack Forum. You won't find much more than Harry Potter sets unless/until you see a new LOTR set released. (They're mostly British and former Empire, after all.) Lots of the same fine people are on Card Talk, but you see more discussion of the HP universe, and more breakdowns and images for Potter cards.

Okay, so I had saved up some to buy a Dexter case off e-bay, but was outbid at the last minute. The only other cases listed were too high, so I thought what the heck, I'll go for some Harry Potter. I was lucky to get a Michael C. Hall auto in my first of three boxes of Dexter previously, so I thought, maybe I'd have similar luck with a whole case of HP HBP. I opened the boxes in sequential order as follows:

Case topper: Dumbledore (clear)

BOX 0192

Base cards (90): 2 complete sets, 3 extras
Foil cards (9; 1:4.8 packs): R1 R4 R6 R8 R9
Autograph cards (12; 1:48 packs): none
Costume cards (14; 1:30 packs): C12 Slytherin students [green] (004/570)
Prop cards (12; 1:60 packs): none
Film cards (9; 1:80 packs): CFC9 a scene from the corn field (130/314)
Box-topper metal cards (4): BT1 D.M (Draco Malfoy)

BOX 0425

Base cards (90): 1 complete set, missing 3 for a second set
Foil cards (9; 1:4.8 packs): R1 R3 R5 R8 R9
Autograph cards (12; 1:48 packs): none
Costume cards (14; 1:30 packs): C7 Albus Dumbledore (153/500)
Prop cards (12; 1:60 packs): P3 Cushions from the Burrow (465/480)
Film cards (9; 1:80 packs): none
Box-topper metal cards (4): BT3 Bellatrix

BOX 0780

Base cards (90): 2 complete sets, 5 extras
Foil cards (9; 1:4.8 packs): R1 R2 R3 R5 R7
Autograph cards (12; 1:48 packs): Natalia Tena (Nymphadora Tonks)
Costume cards (14; 1:30 packs): none
Prop cards (12; 1:60 packs): none
Film cards (9; 1:80 packs): CFC4 Dumbledore visiting young Tom Riddle (172/314)
Box-topper metal cards (4): BT4 Deatheater

BOX 0993

Base cards (90): 1 complete set, missing 4 for a second set
Foil cards (9; 1:4.8 packs): R2 R3 R4 R5 R7
Autograph cards (12; 1:48 packs): none
Costume cards (14; 1:30 packs): C13 Fenrir Greyback (122/490)
Prop cards (12; 1:60 packs): P7 Just Like That Hat Boxes (285/395)
Film cards (9; 1:80 packs): none
Box-topper metal cards (4): BT3 Bellatrix

BOX 1295

Base cards (90): 2 complete sets, 1 extra
Foil cards (9; 1:4.8 packs): R1 R3 R6 R8 R9
Autograph cards (12; 1:48 packs): none
Costume cards (14; 1:30 packs): C9 Minerva McGonagall (010/490)
Prop cards (12; 1:60 packs): P2 Advanced Potion-Making Book Pages (333/380)
Film cards (9; 1:80 packs): none
Box-topper metal cards (4): BT2 Snape

BOX 1555

Base cards (90): 1 complete set, missing 3 for a second set
Foil cards (9; 1:4.8 packs): R1 R4 R6 R8 R9
Autograph cards (12; 1:48 packs): none
Costume cards (14; 1:30 packs): C4 Rubeus Hagrid (111/480)
Prop cards (12; 1:60 packs): P10 Skiving Snackbox Boxes (086/280)
Film cards (9; 1:80 packs): none
Box-topper metal cards (4): BT1 D.M (Draco Malfoy)

Needless to say, at this point after six boxes, I was concerned that I had only found 1 auto. It was an auto I wanted, but I was beginning to worry this case had been shorted. But then I opened this box...

BOX 1829

Base cards (90): 2 complete sets, 5 extras
Foil cards (9; 1:4.8 packs): R1 R3 R5 R7 R9
Autograph cards (12; 1:48 packs): Michael Gambon (Albus Dumbledore - Redemption)

BOX 2463

Base cards (90): 2 complete sets, 2 extras
Foil cards (9; 1:4.8 packs): R2 R4 R5 R6 R7
Autograph cards (12; 1:48 packs): Jessie Cave (Lavender Brown)
Costume cards (14; 1:30 packs): C14 Nymphadora Tonks (303/400)
Prop cards (12; 1:60 packs): none
Film cards (9; 1:80 packs): none
Box-topper metal cards (4): BT1 D.M (Draco Malfoy)

BOX 2739

Base cards (90): 2 complete sets, 3 extras
Foil cards (9; 1:4.8 packs): R2 R3 R4 R5 R7
Autograph cards (12; 1:48 packs): Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood)
Costume cards (14; 1:30 packs): C3 Rupert Grint (068/380)
Prop cards (12; 1:60 packs): none
Film cards (9; 1:80 packs): none
Box-topper metal cards (4): BT2 Snape

I really like these cards the foil stamping on the front is a nice touch and the costume and prop cards are really nice. Definitely pleased with my pulls. While I wouldn't have been upset had I gotten one of the top three autos, I was hoping for the Luna and Tonks. The only other one I wanted and didn't get was Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix). Maybe I can find one on e-bay...
