I started out with one box. Got a full set of Casino Royale, and all various inserts. My autographs were both Women of Bond style, Belle Avery and Teri Hatcher (Extremely Limited). I did get a relic card, a swatch of Auric Goldfinger's Suit.

While I certainly can't complain about this great box, and all the cards are beautifully done, I am not pleased with the Throwback cards. This is a 430 card set, minus the hits, and in the past the throwback cards were 1 per pack. Here they are 1:6 for all 3 subsets. Give us a fighting chance for these things.

Brosnan in 4 boxes and Hatcher in 1 box?!? Two envious breaks right there. Desperate for a Hatcher myself.

Would be interested to see your Brosnan Rich, as there is so much variation in her signature.

Don, did you not catch the furore about the throwback ratios in the Bond thread in News & Rumours?

Not many people can call Brosnan a woman and get away with it. Big Grin

I opened one box of this, number 0967 of 9500. Here is the breakdown:

1 base set
4 Thunderball throwback cards
4 Live and Let Die throwback cards
4 Tomorrow Never Dies set cards
1 Casino Royale gold parallel card
1 Tomorrow Never Dies gold parallel card
2 Skyfall Expansion cards, 205 & 67
1 James Bond relic card, JBR32 numbered 170/375 (chemical canister, thick card)
2 Autograph cards A250 Nicholas Woodeson & full bleed Douglas Wilmer (both listed as Limited)

I was pleased to pull a relic card since the odds do not put one in each box.

My two boxes:

(Box 6505/9500)
Base cards - 1 complete set, 27 dupes
Autos - Terence Mountain full bleed, WA53
Bond Allies - BA48
Bond Complete - 204
Casino Royale gold - 64 (#046/125)
Live and Let Die - 15, 16, 86, 90
Relic cards - none
Thunderball - 41, 43, 89, 91
Tomorrow Never Dies - 2, 21, 47, 87
Tomorrow Never Dies gold - 69 (#116/125)

(Box 1559/9500)
Base cards - 1 complete set, 27 dupes
Autos - A258, WA40
Bond Allies - BA50
Bond Complete - 200
Casino Royale gold - 33 (#067/125)
Live and Let Die - 9, 57, 72, 94
Relic cards - none
Thunderball - 3, 48, 56, 65
Tomorrow Never Dies - 6, 41, 52, 55
Tomorrow Never Dies gold - 22 (#087/125)

My take on these cards is very mixed. While the base cards are certainly clean and sharp, with the quality that we have come to expect from Rittenhouse, I find the overall design to be rather bland.

What brings the whole set down for me is actually the chase cards. Not the quality, mind you, but the sheer volume of them. Nine different types of chase cards in one release, and with incredibly low insertion ratios? Come on, Rittenhouse, be realistic! I know it has been discussed plenty already, but having 4 of each "throwback" card in a box makes these almost impossible to complete, without spending a small fortune. This may be the set that stops me from buying boxes in the future.

My overall grade: C+

Opened two boxes of this release. Pleasant surprises in both:

* Box 6669 - had 25 packs instead of the expected 24. Major hits included autograph cards A257 and WA51 and memorabilia card JBR40 (Goldfinger's suit). Quite happy with this box.
* Box 1751 - had the expected 24 packs, but no memorabilia card in the box. Kinda bummed by that, but the autograph pull was well worth the loss--Daniel Craig full bleed Metal The other autograph was WA57.

I have now managed to pull both the Roger Moore and Daniel Craig autos from this release. I'm thinking I need to stop now while I am still ahead, but I need all those throwback cards....

These stories make me want to go back to busting boxes...
Well done on pulling both Craig and Moore out if this set. Would love to see what 'signature' your Craig card has, have not seen two the same and that is saying something given his lazy signature.

I don't bust a whole lot of boxes these days, since they are getting more expensive all the time. I was able to get these at a pretty good price, and I got really lucky.

If someone could give me instruction on how to post a picture, I will scan and upload a picture of both autographs.
